How has your 2016 been so far?

Mine has been a stinker, for things going wrong!

It started on the 30th of December when my computer refused to switch
off, for ages I tried until it did stop.

The next day it wouldn't start for a while, when it did, it told me that I had
a problem, as if I didn't know, I would have to recover it.

This I did, but in the process I lost all my files.

I forgot, in December the cooker went wrong, burning two loaves of bread.

Then in the middle of January, we got a flood in the kitchen from the flat
above, at 2AM, I woke them up and he said there was no problem there!

He turned of his main water and my flood stopped.

I had a builder in to fix and repaint the ceiling in the kitchen, it went wrong
and he had to come back and fix his mistake.

The cooker was replaced, but the model was not the one ordered, so another
wait for correction.

I found out that my PC needs a new hard drive, when I installed it, it took hours
to be checked and loaded with the software, I loaded 8.1, when I tried to use it,
I found that I couldn't log in anywhere, the password bit of anywhere wouldn't let
me put in more that three digits!

I am running with the dodgy disc now, trying to get answers to the reasons for the
password problem.

Then last night I heard that my good friend Cecilia has died, may she rest in peace.

I hope that February is different and that I have used up all my bad luck for the year,
after of course the correct model of the cooker is fitted.
The ordering paying and the delivery is fantastic, but the rejection and replacement
process is more lengthy, there has to be an inquest as to why I got the wrong model,
but no decision is forthcoming about replacing it.

this reads like a rant, (probably is), but it is the truth.

One of my favorite bits of advice. In fact so perfect I will put it on a key tag or something. " You Can't Eat the Whole Elephant". Explained is you can't eat an elephant whole. You have to break it in tiny pieces and digest a bit at a time. We can get so much in front of us we get crushed. But you have to break that sucker up. A bit at a time...really it works.

Well,my 2015 sucked, with my cancer diagnosis,my beautiful niece`s passing and my sister in law`s passing. Now,in 2016,my brother in law has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. He goes in Monday for surgery #2,which is basically a repeat of surgery #1 as they apparently did not get all that they needed the first time. No prognosis yet. I am truly hoping that things start looking up!

For the most part, stinking hot.
The rest of the time, bucketing down.

Net effect - oppressive humidity and mosquitos.

Still can't complain.
In other parts of Australia people are being burnt out or flooded out of their homes and the cyclone season is just beginning up north.

So far..so good. Mike, sounds like you has a challenging time of it. When I get a string of bad juju I just figure..hey the stars lined up wrong and take a deep breath. I also have had lucky streaks in life too :)

When it rains it pours, doesn't it Mike? I'm sorry to hear you lost your friend Cecilia too, my condolences...hugs. Been a good year so far for me, nothing really bad has happened and hoping the rest of the year proves the same.

So far, so good, but hey, November will be here in no time, so I'll try to make the best of the time in between aside from the usual medical issues, hoping for nothing major.

I am truly sorry for those starting out with not so great news for the new year be it health or other events happening in your lives. My condolences to those who have lost loved ones.

So far, not too bad. We have been relatively fortunate with the weather in this part of Scotland. No flooding or storm damage, but it is cold. Otherwise, it's keep working at losing the excess pounds I gained over Christmas & the new year.

Oh Mike I feel for you. My whole 2015 was like your last month. I hope things will look up for you in Feb. :)

Mike, I'm sorry for your January. Hopefully things will look up for you in Feb. So far this year, I've had my ups and downs but I think it's been pretty good. I have things to look forward to. :)

Life has its ups and downs, we just have to get on with it. Life would be boring if it was perfect. I have had a mixed month one way and another.
