How hot is it where you are?

I just saw that Death Valley is expected to go up to 130 today. Las Vegas isn't quite as bad, it's a "cool" 112. Fresno is supposed to go to 108.

Here, it's 94 and supposed to go up to 95, not so bad relatively speaking. But how do people manage in those other places where it's over 100, day after day?

P.S. Our humidity is horrible, though.

We're getting a few days of relief from the heat and humidity. We should stay in the low to mid 80's until late next week....when July comes roaring back. I've been able to get out about 9AM and do 3 or 4 hours of yard work before I have to go back in,.

I used to live there. I gave it 6 weeks, and moved back to Calif.

Yup. Central air is a necessity. When I do leave my AC home, I get in my AC car and go to wherever which has AC. I have lived here most of my life so I am used to it and have the common sense when not to get out in the heat to exercise or another activities. June was the hottest June ever but that is mainly because our night time lows are higher than they used to be because of the urban sprawl. Things will start to cool off around mid September and most years by mid October the AC can be shut off for good until around May.

Of course I do turn on the heat at times around December because temps can drop all the way down to the 40's F around that time of year . I am a cold wimp

While living in Hampton Roads, VA in the 80s, I left a 6-pack of Coke in the car while I was at work and all 6 cans exploded on the drive back home. Live and learn.
