How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

@papa tiger I have a cyberpal on another board who reported today that she has lost "hundreds of thousands of dollars" and is too close to retirement to wait it out for the years that it will take to make it back. Before this "market correction," she was going to retire at 60. Now she expects to be working well into her 70s:(.

~I’m in the process of doing research on UFOs, our topic for Saturday night’s radio program. I had to choose a picture for the flyer. At first I didn’t want my picture on it, but found two that might look nice and decided to let Mike choose.

~Talked with my sister and told her about Debra, who according to Ancestry is possibly our half sister. I messaged Debra via Ancestry. Turns out she had messaged me in 2021 and I just saw it !

~Made room in the refrigerator and freezer for the Costco haul my son shopped for after work. I’ll take care of the non-perishables tomorrow.

Morning foks...

It's Sunny this morning, but it feels nippy in the air 44 deg ...I just went out to bring in the bins, and I was suprised at how chilly it felt but it's forecast to be another 15 deg warmer later today..

My gardener text to say he's not well and can he postpone.. so I won't be getting the lawns or the fence panels fitted today.

I'd do the lawn myself which tbf I usually do anyway...it's only when I need bigger jobs done that I have the gardener.. but my back is still hurting badly.. currently I have a heat pad on it... so it's out of the question for me today

Anyway whatever you're doing today..have a good one... 🌞 🌞 🌞

Brrrr🥶 It's a nippy 36F this morning, but I donned a jacket over my robe and jammies and sat on the teeny tiny patio with my coffee anyway. Guess I'll wait a while before tackling garden stuff, though. The hose hanger thingie is supposed to be delivered today. Maybe I'll get lucky and DSIL will be home early enough today to put it up for me.

@hollydolly Do we have leftovers for breakfast? Bacon and egg pie sounds good.

Good morning. ☕ I'm still trying to wake up, so that's my news for now.

It's going to be a beautiful day today....maybe I'll start cleaning out the Fairy Garden. Unless someone other mischief presents itself.

Good morning to all, I hope you have a good day today.

@OneEyedDiva There is a post that I was just reading on another site that was all about UFOs and what we think they are. Quite entertaining. lol

@hollydolly your days always sound so happy

@Trila stay outta trouble! lol

My day is looking like a slow & relaxing one. The only thing on the to-do list is to give my service dog a bath before church tonight.

I'm sorry to hear that your cyberfriend has suffered such a setback! Unfortunately, the market is a "gamble"....there are no guaranteed returns. It's a shame that she was relying on it for retirement.

Another cold morning, some sun but not for long. Snow and rain coming for 2 days.

Slow start, got texts then a phone call that went until 3AM. Some people get off work at midnight, then have nobody to share with and she's had a few small victories to chat about. Glad I got a nap in yesterday but I'm out of the habit of such late calls. We hadn't spoken in several months though, so it was nice to catch up.

She is very fortunate to have you as a friend. Some folks are just too busy to listen.

I just bought a new Hardback book about the Alex Murdaugh case who back in 2021 where as a prominent lawyer in S Carolina, from a Dynasty of lawyers.. was convicted of murdering his own wife and son... and defrauding clients of millions of Dollars...

As a resercher myself , I am absolutely fascinated by this case..if I could have been in that court throughout the trial I would have been.. it has everything in it.. Murder, deceit.. drug taking on a grand scale, high society, huge sums of money.. jury tampering, blackmail, it's like Gone with the Wind on Fentanel & Crack Cocaine...

I've watched every Youtube video there is to see during the case.. and some books have been written about it.. but this particular book has been written by a Raleigh resident and National reporter..and Wall street journalist, who researched this case to the minutest of details..

The reviews are excellent and after seeing her in an interview and hearing her mention facts which were never brought up in the case, I can't resist this book...

Getting ready to see family before they leave for Europe tomorrow. I will really miss them. They will be going for ten days.
Using ACCESS ARIDE with great trepidation.....so glad to be on medication that helps lower my anxiety..
Had to seriously handle my anxiety yesterday afternoon just being reminded. I don't want anything to happen to hurt my family before they leave. I ruined Christmas I think that's enough of my nonsense for the rest of my life.
They're hard working people. They deserve a happy Bon Voyage.

I have been fascinated by this case too. It took me a while to realize that Alec could have actually have done that to his wife and beloved son.
From the first death of the teenage boy being struck by a car, to the housekeepers "accident", to the boat accident and death, to Alex shooting himself........it goes on and on.
Power, money, and drugs. I don't think the story is over do you?

Morning all.....woke at 3am, went back to bed, woke at 630am...
yay....no big plans just the usual, laundry, groc order...couple

It was yesterday: cows grazing on the "back 40", nice to see them off the streets w the snow on the south and west facing slopes gone. Yesterday was trash pick up day and the elk ran amuck on a neighboring street. They are able to open the "wheelie bins" @hollydolly w/out knocking them over. LOL

Here's old broken horn. Antlers still hanging on. It looks like I might have a chance to find his shed antlers once they drop so I've been keeping a close eye on him.

Hope y'all have a good one!

Weather should hold this morning, temperature coming up and still a lot of sun. Outside puttering setting up another solar power experiment facing the East sun, and a Dad came by along the sidewalk with his quite tiny 2 year old son scooting along on a little kiddy bike thing.

Chatty one. Kid insisted on stopping and had lots of questions. He's quite articulate, curious, active, and friendly. Dad thanked me and they got along their way. Not sure where they are from, maybe new to the neighborhood since I haven't seen them before.

I would like to think it's not over that Alex will fess up... I don't think he ever will, and having seen his father go down for 2 life sentences I doubt that Buster will fess up to what actually happened to that young boy. The local story is he was killed after having a sexual liaison with Buster, and then he was killed by person/s unknown to prevent him talking about it.

Just to be pedantic, Alex didn't actually shoot himself.. he paid someone to do it... and the shooter admitted his part in this fraud..

In my mind and I'm sure in all the prosecution and witnesses mind there's no doubt Alex killed the housekeeper so he could claim on her insurance which was essentially claiming against himself.. and of course Gloria''s 2 young sons who desperately needed that money , one is a quadriplegic.. didn't see a penny.. because he kept it.. or as he would like us to believe he spent a half million on pills...

Further to that he stole millions from his own partners in the law firm.. one of his great friends, and lawyer in another company broke down in the witness stand completely bereft at realising it was his great friend who not only stole hundreds of thousands from him, but he was in fact the killer..

I am looking forward to my Easter gift this year! Easter Sunday I take the big bird to our nearby university hospital for a TAVR on Monday. I can't wait to start feeling better. Sadly, my cats get depressed when they see the suitcases come out but I promised to spoil them when I get home.
