I'm just back from a 2 day motorcycle safety class about 1 hour east of DEN, at High Plains Raceway. The goal is - "Faster, safer and safer, faster." It was mentally challenging for a novice still trying to iron out the basics of riding, and adding in a slew of "college" level techniques. The techniques are process oriented and data driven, not based on unsupported opinion or old habits.

The Wx was sub-optimum, the worst was sleet, 45° F, and 20+mph winds on Sunday afternoon. (Speeds were up, grip was down.") I was the oldest, newest, slowest, rider of around 28 students. I managed to keep my chit together, not mess anybody up on track, and had no close calls or near misses. I believe this class was a huge step in my nascent mc career.

The school is run by an older guy Nick Ienatsch, but mostly taught by a group of young guys he has assembled, including Cody Wyman. Imagine being less than a year into the sport and riding behind some of the absolute best riders in the world. That's me - old and slow! I can't wait to do it again!!!

Two doc appts. today. One, 11am, on phone with therapist; the other my PCP at 1:45pm. He's in the neighborhood so I will walk there. Need to do a little shopping on the way home. Busy day for me. I hate being busy.
I’m just the opposite as I love being busy. I find too much downtime is depressing for me although there is such a thing as being too busy and I do like to have at least one day a week where I have nothing planned.

I agree, I'm the same... altho' often even on the days when I plan to do nothing, I end up doing quite a bit... :D

I'd planned a do-nothing day yesterday but it didn't turn out that way.

After putting it off until nearly the last minute, I finally (FINALLY!) managed a website migration from one hosting account to another. I'd worked on the migration a couple of weeks ago, but bailed because the company's YouTube instruction video was maddening. Confused, rushed and non-specific.

Turned out their chat-bot patiently answered my questions, including specifics on which menus contained options I needed. Even so, it took a couple of hours to move everything over and redo the email.

I was particularly frustrated because at the height of our retail business I built, updated and ran numerous websites. Could have done this in my sleep ten years ago. Alas, semi-retirement has me out of practice. Use it or lose it.

In the afternoon, I counted in about 10 cartons until my back started screaming. I'll do the last of that order this morning, to clear the decks for the orders that are coming in today and tomorrow. I'll have to count and separate those immediately to dispatch everything to embroidery, screen printing, or heat press Thursday.

Incoming product should be finished for a few weeks. I'm looking forward to our front room NOT being stacked with cartons. Not complaining because 'tis the season...

Will be lazy today, recovering in a mostly prone position, reading, eating, this Tuesday after a rowdy 3-day holiday. Looking forward to this coming weekend with more outdoor live music fun. Since my new HP computer won't arrive for several days, am stuck continuing to use this cheap Windows 11 laptop with only minimal functionality including no Photoshop, no MS Word, no MS Excel.

Lawn mowed. House opened up to air out again (mostly cloudy, 69F). Got the mail and payed bills. Received another hot deal on a 0.585 KWh power station and have it out there soaking up solar power. Casserole put together and initial cooking done, just need do a finish bake for suppertime. Brought in solar-powered R/W/B light string from the holiday weekend.

I think you're probably very close to being a 70 something Superwoman , all the work you do for your business, and the running of your home , the caring many days for GC's... etc... (y)

I've just had dinnner...

I cooked chicken curry ( Korma) & rice from scratch, it was very nice.. I'm not a great curry eater ...maybe a couple of times a year, but sometime I jut get bored with cooking chicken the same old ways, so tonight I decided to make the curry....

I'd got the laundry on while I was doing that... washed all the bedding today... and my jackets... they're in the dryer now...

Still raining , so even tho' it 's not sunset until after 9pm... now at 7.25pm it's becoming quite dark

Well, it didn't rain this morning, so I was able to go to the gym, although I almost didn't get there.

Today was the first time that we've ventured out since the big storms. I guess several big trees had fallen down and blocked our road, so we wouldn't have been able to go anywhere even if we had wanted to!

I heard chainsaws working all morning. By the time we were leaving for the gym, the work crew had one lane open and we were able to pass. What a mess!!! It's hard to describe how bad it was! And it wasn't the only one, there were trees down everywhere, as we drove into town! Officially, we didn't actually have a tornado here, but from the wind damage, it sure looked like a tornado had gone through!!

Made the decision that since I have the transmission out of the chevy, and while waiting for the rebuild kit, I'm going to pull the motor out as well and replace the chrome oil pan that I so hate. That crappy pan is always driving me nuts with small oil leaks. (never would seat a gasket... too flimsy) Going to put a nice solid cast aluminum pan on... something that will retain the gasket.

How the heck do people live in places like Seattle where there are more rainy days than not? I've had enough already, and we're not expecting sun until Saturday. Saturday! It is sooo depressing.
the north of England, the west of Scotland, most of Ireland and Wales have loads of rain..that's what keeps everything looking so green....

Here we don't get even half the rain they get

That sighting gave us something to talk about at niece's family get together.
Was nice to see here & her older sister who had her 4 month old daughter with her.

They had lots of food,, but the 1:00 meal didn't take place till 3.

I did get to talk to our other niece who lives across the street from us.
She works fun time always busy .

Hubby & I got the flowers to the graves, Sunday later afternoon.

Today was another doctor appointment for Hubby.
As expected more tests for him.

I did get 6 tomato plants in.
Bucket off garbage hauled over & dump in the brush.

Should get flowers into basket to put in front of the house garage.
Think I'll let that go till morning.

Got to see a doctor about my knee. Xrays did not show problems. The doctor, a D.O. as opposed to an M.D., also did physical tests for other damage that an MRI would show and did not see concerning results. Got a cortisone shot. I asked if he was sports doctor and he said yes, and added that he previously worked for the MN Vikings! He said we could do an MRI if things did not progress but he did not feel it necessary given the tests. All in all, quite a blessing!

In case you are wondering what a DO doctor is, read below. Basically more holistic.
Difference Between MD and DO
