No he doesn't get scolded by me... at all.. he said he's going to be in Pain if he moves that rug, so I asked him why he doesn't wait for help... that's all.. Plus I'm at east 15 years younger than him... I don't have his maladiesJessica Fletcher LOL. When the writer's ran out of murders in Cabot Cove, she went here, there and everywhere to visit old friends or nieces and nephews, and no matter where she went, murder followed. I wouldn't have invited her to cross my street!
I wonder if anybody else ever noticed that she had nieces and nephews by the number, but nobody ever mentioned sisters and brothers except for the sister in London, an actress with no children.
@hollydolly You've done more than enough for a day. How come you can do all that, but @hawkdon gets scolded by you for taking so much as a deep breath?![]()
Where's the rest of it? LOLHelped put s
..because you had a use for it when we bought it.. and we keep it in case we have a use for it in the future...Well today I am determined to make a dent in “stuff”. While I am in the mood. It will be over 100 degrees here…so good day to wrestle some order. Why do we keep all this junk anyway??
I got an idea for you Doll. Take slide pictures of all your vases, some in groups, then show the slides on a screen. You can put away all the Vases now and show the slides. .....because you had a use for it when we bought it.. and we keep it in case we have a use for it in the future...
My thing is that I buy vases.. I get tired of seeing the same ones very quickly, so I buy different styles.. then I get tired of them, and put then away and bring the older ones out, then put them away.. and I end up with more than I can cope with.. but they're all nice... I was just thinking yesterday I need to donate some of these vases..
I didn't like Monopoly either. Preferred coloring and drawing stuff. Everything sort of ended up a guess?Had a lovely time with DD and family yesterday afternoon/evening.
Watched some of my DD's parenting skills in action: The GKs (10 & 13) were playing Monopoly in one of the bedrooms, and soon there was a squabble. They came to us, 13 year old GS complaining he was sure his sister was cheating by having favorable numbers on the dice when he didn't see her roll them. GD claimed she hadn't cheated.
DD told GD, "if you cheat, people won't play with you," then turned to GS and said, "people who falsely accuse others of cheating will also soon find themselves with no one to play with."
She recommended they make sure to watch each other roll and ended it with, "This is why I don't play Monopoly." (I agreed - that game takes way too long and can only end in a prolonged, unpleasant loss as one player eventually monopolizes everything, sending the others to the poor house (and out of the game).
Other than that minor dust-up, all was well. The kids moved to Electronic Battleship, then Twister, with no arguments.
p.s. When we were kids, my brother cheated at Monopoly (stealing from the bank) so I stopped playing it with him - and eventually stopped playing it altogether.
