How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Enjoyed a lively mass this Sunday morning. Attendance was way up, especially among young families with children, reflecting numbers of people changing to be more actively religious over the holidays. A welcome societal sign.

One more day quietly here at home. Tomorrow early morning, have the first oil change and tire rotation scheduled for my 2023 Trailblazer LS. The long series of storms this last week will end, so I expect to start snow skiing frequently through much of January. This landscape photographer will also begin to have a very active late winter and early spring this year of 2026 because all the rains will soon result in epic greenery and wildflowers.

I greatly enjoy exploring about and dispersed camping about our Southwest desert landscapes after wet winters. I wish many of you SF people, especially many of you gals still able to hike, could be with me out there.

Finally Christmas and New Year's tourists have left town! We have a storm going on w temps in the low 20's °F, winds 21 mph, gusting to 33 mph. I found a couple spots where the snow collected in the lee of the prevailing winds.

I was with my daughter and her boyfriend. We skied through the group of trees under the line. The trees definitely help provide some contrast w the snow falling and the ground making it far easier to avoid vertigo or white out. We stayed on the top 1/3 of the mtn for the cooler temps, lighter and deeper snow.

Found a few more places where snow had drifted in to provide some depth.

Daughter and boyfriend left, after some home made chicken soup and same nachos.

"Tonight, the small storm weakens but will continue to drop more snowfall on the area. Expect an additional 2 to 6 inches in the mountains by tomorrow morning."

It should be a decent powder day tomorrow. Now get back to school, and back to work!!!

I've just spent another hour clearing out kitchen cupboards and taking pictures off the walls....

I've taken full advantage of emptying these cupboards to get rid of a whole load of stuff.
Everything in my kitchen ..and indeed my house was to cater for 2 people and regular guests.. now I'm on my own, I'm not in need of all that stuff.. so I've filled 2 big black sacks with stuff to either go in the recycle or to the Charity shop...

It's actually echoing in my kitchen now... :D

Oh I don't know why...other people can see them...
They don't show for me either .... One from another one of your posts was the same. Never had that happen with your posts before.

Since I know (basically) what they are, I'm OK with that...this time! I hope it doesn't do that often!
I get the same error message not only for these photos but one she posted earlier as well. Never happened before so ???

That is what's showing up on my screen, too.

Edited to add: The new images are showing up just fine on my screen, @hollydolly!
thanks KSav... I don't know why Postimage does that... it doesn't show that to me so I have to rely on other people telling me. The only reason I use it rather than uplaoding directly to the forum from my computer is because I can resze the photos there.. whereas if I upload from my computer they're huge !

Afternoon peeps of SF..... it's another glorious Sunny day....

I was going to go out .. but I changed my mind because it was thick ice first thing, but it melted by noon..., tomorrow is going to be just as sunny, so I'll go then... it will suit me better

This morning Royal Mail delivered my new Night vision prescription glasses that I bought from an online optician.

They're just like any normal glasses but slightly yellow tinted and they're made specifically for night driving.... with all the high beam lights coming towards me in our narrow unlit country roads it puts me off driving at night now ..and I used to enjoy driving in the dark...in fact I learned to drive in the dark !...so I'm looking forward to trying these..

Have the best Sunday you can....folks 🍂🍀
This is the other post where your pic was not showing.
