That's it....the cold snap is over! In the 10 day forecast, we will not go below freezing, even at night. The highs will be over 60°F/155°C, and one day is even expected to be in the 70's!!!

Yea!! Now, everything just needs to melt. I'm ready for spring! 💮🏵🌸🌺

Thank you holly. No, my brother will not control me. I plan to go no contact with him. But he will try once the stepfather is gone and I have the responsibility of doing everything, like selling his mobile, clearing it out etc. The ER doctor said he had a106 YO recently in and the family wanted everything done. Stepfather is DNR. But all I could think was 'please not to 106...'
Remy...I ditto what @Georgiagranny replied when she wrote "Just wanted you to know that while you may feel alone, you aren't. Out here in Cyberland, we can't really do anything for you except let you know that we care."

MORNING all folks!! slept good last eve after couple false
starts/stops....got about 7 hrs and for me thats great....got
some of the old sore spots artritus shown up this morning...
No plans at all for today yet...too early...no raccoon in the
trap, maybe that was only one!?\
Got a 100$ gift card from insurance co for letting the RN come
in to check me out....wonder how to use it....it is 44deg F, and
going near 60F today, yay....catch u later....;):love::coffee:

I did it. Blew leaves. There are still lots more to do. Discovered that the Lenten Rose is blooming in spite of all the below freezing nighttime temps we've had.

Lots of perennial things are poking their little heads up.

It's still a little nippy out there, but I'll go out again in a couple of hours.

More weird dreams last night. In these I was me, but much younger (like maybe 22 or 23 years old again). Also, in Japan. Yet able to speak the language fluently. I had some job I can't quite make out now, but also a lot of socializing. Much adaptation to cultural differences around work and play and just daily life.

Well..what a horrible day weather wise... Hailstones, rain .. the whole 9 yards....

Can you believe this..I went to see the gP this morning.. I'm used to seeing different doctors now, so warning bells didn't ring...

He called me in and I said ''Doctor''..he said no I'm not a doctor I'm a paramedic...
I'm taken aback by this, but I think, ok..whatever.. and I tell him what's wrong with me... remember I have waited weeks for this appointment...and he says ''...Oh I don't know what's causing it, you need to see a doctor''..:eek::eek:

@hollydolly All that getting up early, driving in the rain, to be told you need to see a doctor? What? You were there to see a doctor!

Did you use words? Bad ones? ;)
I really wanted to..believe me.... ..I think I'm going to make a complaint.. This is appalling ....so now I have to make another appointment which will take weeks....

Reminds me of when health insurance through my job pushed us into the Health Maintenance Organization model. You'd go in for an appointment, sit and wait and wait until an opening with a random caregiver opened up. These weren't doctors but "physician's assistants."

Didn't care for the level of "care" there. I won't give the name, but I called it "Death Central."

I actually sat and waited once and a burn victim came in and waited an hour ("sorry, they are all in a staff meeting") until somebody came out for her having "volunteered" to see her now.

No, it wasn't gubmint-run, but it sounds a lot like what I hear about most socialized medicine.

yep pretty much how it's become...I weep for the NHS as it once was...

When I signed up or Medicare I did with a recommended Physicians Assistant. There are doctors on staff for her assistance if needed. I like her and usually, I think, even a doctor will refer you to a specialist anyway. The PA suits my needs for now.

@hollydolly it's frustrating when you don't know that you needed to ask, "Will I see an actual doctor?". You will next time, but they'll be a new question like, " If an actual doctor is not available that day will you let me know before I drive here for nothing?" 🙁

Stranger in a Strange Land

More settled in, less emotional than early this morning. I am going to take a walk in the sunshine after Young&Restless. I will bring my book with me, just in case. I'm easily satisfied lately. Sometimes I feel like an infant, my needs so easily met.

😕 I have no words.....

I'm really sorry that you have to go through this frustration.

Been to the garden center to get seed-starter stuff, and it's all planted, watered, covered and sitting on the patio table to take advantage of the warm sun. I'll bring them in this evening and put them back out tomorrow.

The leaf blower has been put away until tomorrow, too. I'm tired. It's going to be an afternoon of rest, maybe even a nap.
