How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Today (well, yesterday now...it's a little past midnight) was the most interesting laundry day ever! When I went down, a young man was already there. I thought I recognized his face and when he started speaking, I knew for sure who he was. He used to be on the board and I loved to hear him speak. What a voice! He was using one of the double loaders and informed me that the other one (my usual) was out of order, but that his machine would be available in 24 minutes.

A 24 minute wait for me is like agony. I hemmed and hawed about waiting that long or even coming back down (I had brought a couple of pieces to hold a machine). He found several reasons that I should get the laundry done while I had the chance, further convincing me by saying that if I wasn't back by the time his clothes finished, he would hold the machine for a few minutes after he took his clothes out. So I finally acquiesced. I am so glad I did. I feel better when I get laundry done for the week.

As I was leaving to get the rest of my clothes, he told me about his internet radio show. I thought "Good" he has the perfect radio voice. When I told him I recently released a new album, he was like "No way!". I pulled up my album’s YouTube page and he listened to part of a song. He asked if I would be willing to let him play my music on his show. I said of course! When I went back down he told me that he also composes music and has a home studio. I told him about my son, our studio and projects.

He let me listen to a couple of his tracks that were on his phone (I don’t like listening that way though). I let him listen to one more of mine. Turns out the vibe of his music is similar to mine. We exchanged email addresses. He said we should send each other 5 tracks to start off with. He’s anxious to meet my son, who I “talked up” of course. They both use Logic for digital music production; I told him I did at one time also. He’s interested in possibly collaborating musically with both of us and having us as guests on his podcast.

We sent each other the 5 tracks this evening. He also called and we had a another nice conversation. Besides a love of music, we have a lot of philosophies in common, including the belief that there are no coincidences. He told me about how his mother and father encouraged him, saying he could do anything he set out to do. He talked about his aspirations and said several times that I’ve inspired him. He has also inspired me.

I need to get shakin’ with my music again. I didn’t listen to his tracks until after our phone conversation. I’ll give him my feedback after I’ve listened on my speakers, also with earbuds. I’m impressed with what I’ve heard so far and with him in general. He’s a gentleman who is very creative….a writer and voice actor as well. I told him I can already tell that he’s going to wind up being one of my honorary sons. We already have a running joke "In the laundry room!?!...Who woulda' thunk it?" In fact, "In the Laundry Room" may be the name of one of our collaborations. :LOL: I love it when music and art transcends generations!

G'morning to my friends...Glorious sunny morning...altho' the forecast said it would be cloudy...

I learned this morning that my soon2Bx did more cheating than I was aware of... took someone to my home for a week without my knowledge during our marriage ...

Makes me sick to my stomach

Anyway just wanted to tell someone before it eats me up...

Infidelity is disgusting. I'm sorry that you've had to go through that pain. And continue to. :(
 
Yesterday, we had our taxes done and what a relief that was. We are only getting a small refund but that keeps us in the IRS records in case some stimulus checks are ordered by the government.

Today, we are receiving orders from online. Three to be exact. I hope all goes well with the groceries. The shopper today is fast and sometimes they make mistakes in the delivery. Anyway, I suppose we will go somewhere for lunch or dinner.
 
I’ve got to shake a leg this AM and get my car 🚗 vacuumed and washed. Actually, the overall term should be “Intervention “ lol. As a working car (for my home visits as a nurse) it ends up being a rolling supply closet and I need to sort that.

Also on the list today is to take yarn 🧶 and knitting needles to a friend to send to her mom who is an avid knitter. Given the changes to my neck, my knitting days are done. No point in stuff sitting around collecting dust.

Groceries, visiting Ed, and taking a home bound friend to church this afternoon will round out the day. Y’all have a good Saturday!

Good morning friends!!!! Woke at 3am but went back to bed
and actually slept in till 7am yay.....62F out there and all cloudy
skies, predicted to get some bad storms tonite...we will see...
my fumble today was knocking a roll of t.p. INTO the toilet, oops, in the trash that went....got to order groceries today as
I'm out of bakery and sweets...can't have that lol....C U L8TR....;):love::coffee:

I'm so sorry to learn this, but unsurprised. In my experience, very few cheaters are a one-and-done.

Infidelity would have been an unforgivable deal-breaker for me (as it was for you). People don't unintentionally slide into affairs, they claw their way in, knowing full well what they're doing every single step of the way.

I played in the dirt earlier and am done in the garden for now because...weary.

DD and DSIL went to wherever DSIL's dad lives to his 80th birthday party. They felt like they had to go even though DSIL has little to do with him. His dad left his mother for his secretary forty plus years ago, raised her two kids, rarely kept in touch and apparently never paid child support.

DGD has gone off with a friend for the day. She spent the past two days in bed in pain. The whatever kind of shot they give her takes a couple of days to kick in so she's hoping today is the day.

So here I am alone in Whoville, and it's kinda nice. If I had a car, I'd be wandering aimlessly in the garden centers. Good thing I don't have a car🚗💸💸💐

I have no doubt I will hear more .. I have to tell people not to tell me any more.. because it serves no purpose now other than to break my heart 🥺😢
 
The only walk of the day was my usual one at 7am temp was 36 as I went around the building twice .I had the umbrella with me but didn't need it. Its been raining on/off for most of the day so I didn't; go back outside. Instead, I walked our hallway twice a this morning, once this afternoon
