Dya think she'll change her mind after this ?
probably not...this is the third time around (or maybe the fourth, I don't rightly remember!)

Oh...DGD spent the day yesterday with a friend and the friend's little girl. Spent the afternoon today at the square. She just came home...and tested positive.

Along with her RA, she also suffers from Long Covid, and now she's got Covid again. I don't remember how many times she's had it.

If the lord's willing and the creeks don't rise, I'll be spared.

I returned home yesterday after a week in the hospital with a GI bleed. Last Sunday the ER was jammed with people coughing and sneezing and it took until dawn to be admitted. I had a KN95 mask but it tends to fight with my glasses around the nose piece and I am always readjusting. So far so good.
Oh Babs... I had no idea you were in hospital so poorly... ..I hope you're feeling back to as normal as you can be,.🤗💐

When I pruned a Palm Tree this afternoon, my pups suddenly sniffed at something on the ground: it was a baby bird whose nest on
a Palm frond I obviously just had cut. Too young to feed itself, I pried open its beak and fed it mealy worms and Hamburger meat.
It eagerly swallowed the food. For the night, I built the baby a nest in my pickup seat. I can't wait till my 6 y/o grandson will see it.

My wife fixed me a fabulous bean salad that is super healthy..........My self-made favorite, though, is Pumpernickel bread with Brie cheese

While our house was under construction, we found a baby Mockingbird on the property. We took it home and raised it successfully.
My wife will never forget that the baby pooped on her hair. When we let it fly, the first evening it came back. But then we never saw
it again. We called it "Charlie." Whenever I now hear a Mockingbird singing at night with the window open, the I imagine it's "Charlie."

I loaded and ran the dishwasher this morning. I've already emptied it and plan to load it again this evening. I took two naps today and watched 911. I hope to watch something else, or at least start another show before falling asleep.

My son and I had a nice chat. I also spoke on the phone twice with my new (hopefully) collaborator, the neighbor I mentioned yesterday in my post #4,002. Plans are in the works for my son and I to get together with him this coming week and work on music. I emailed him my thoughts on his tracks and he told me his on my website and the songs I sent. I also sent him 7 songs by other artists who I think produce great music.

Oh no! Hope you're better now.

Sounds like serendipity via the laundry room. 😊

Good morning, everyone. Had some trouble getting up this morning, stiff joints & back issues, but our Creator saw fit to let me see another day! No particular plans today, other than working with my service-dog-in-training. She is not quite so good at recall as I would like. She is a little strong-willed, I can relate. :ROFLMAO: Hope you all have a blessed day. :)

Just had a call from the gardener, to ask if I needed anything done.. I'm perfectly capable of mowing my own lawns.. unless I'm ill... so I said nothing needs doing ... but I have asked him if he'll insert 2 new Fence panels for me... so he'll come next week and do that and cut the hedges...as well

Now , I need to get on to ordering new fence panels...

Just more of the same today. Declutter and throw more stuff out. Now I know why I said I’d never move again 26 years ago.
If you need some practice, you can come here. I come from a long line of "savers" (not quite horders, but getting close). Be sure to bring a shovel and lots n' lots of trash bags and boxes for charity!!! 😉

Saving is in my genes and I never knew it, until a few years ago. I call it the "too much sh*t" syndrome! Now that I see it for what it is, it is a major source of frustration. However, if I can get mad enough at myself, I reach a point where I can start letting go. That's when I do my best decluttering. Afterwards I always feel better!! 😁

Good luck!!!!

Dio (DH) has been called The Bird Man for as long as I've known him. He is always rescuing birds and caring for them until they can go off on their own.

Many years ago, someone brought him a baby starling. He named it Cricket because of the almost constant chirping sound. When Cricket got older, he refused to leave his "Momma!". We released him, but he kept coming back!! He became such a nuisance, we worked hard to ditch him and let him have his own life! We still laugh about it today! LOL

About 2 years ago, Dio found an young Cooper's Hawk by the side of the road. Nothing was broken, but he may have been stunned by a car. Dio brought him home and named him Howard. He was very calm about being handled. We took care of him for a few days, then let him go. I didn't know it at the time, but Cooper's Hawks stay in a relatively small area. He still lives in the woods by our house. We hear him often. And when we see him he lets us come very close to talk to him!

This is Howard, when we released him....

On my early walk at 6:50 temp was 54,cloudy with light drizzle went around the building twice a before breakfast
I hope to get a mid morning walk in before its starts raining
The highlight of my day, I've invited my Tudor Plaza{apt building where I use to live} friends, Mary&Patrick to dinner tonight at 5:45. I see Mary almost every wk when we go on our 'road trips', talk to Patrick once a month{he was my real estate agent, sold my apt}. I'm sure they'll tell me what's happening over there. This is the only adjustment I'm still dealing with after 36 yrs, not seeing my friends on a daily basis. I do keep in contact with a couple other residents as well

@Babs2u Sorry you've been sick and hope you're now on the mend.

@hawkdon You made biscuits and gravy and didn't say so until after the fact? I'll remember that...jussayin'

@hollydolly Here's hoping your new dryer fits just right and gets installed today.

We're going to have awful storms and heavy rain today. Hail, too. Still at level 3 of 5 for a tornado or three. Starting tomorrow it's going to be early summer weather for about a week, with high temps in the 80s.

I may have to break down and turn on the a/c because the pollen is so bad that it's hard to breathe. There are puddles of pollen in the street from where last night's rain washed it off the trees, roofs, cars, sidewalks...everdamthang!

It looks like I'll be sentenced to staying inside these walls today. Maybe I should clean? Except for dusting...I'll wait until all the pollen settles before disturbing it.

Haven't heard a peep from DD or DGD so far. Hope they at least got some sleep.

Light rain overnight has slowed to an almost imperceptible light drizzle. Cool and cloudy today with highs near 63, gradually warming throughout the week until the mid-70s by Saturday.

Yesterday was indeed the do-nothing Sunday I'd hoped for. Even included an hour nap.

Plans today: about an hour or two of business chores, including some invoicing. That will probably be all I need to do on the business front this week. (Slow time of year.)

After that, I want to sort out everything in my office space. Donate some stuff, trash some, better organize the rest. I noticed some of the clutter as I looked around. Things I once used, needed or wanted have crept into nooks, crannies, shelves and cabinets until they're such a part of the landscape that I barely notice their existence.

Hope all have a lovely day - I'll check you kids later!
