You are not kidding the damn prices on some things not all but enough have seriously gone up .

A juice machine I bought at Walmart not long ago was 20 dollars more today
 

Yup. Then there's DS's superdupercomputer that magically appeared for $1000 less, and he managed to hit "submit order" on before the price went up again. I wonder how much it is today?

Just looked. Price hasn't changed. Yet. Needless to say, he's over the moon to have scored it at last.

I am in fact going out to celebrate with friends and daughter all day tomorrow.. because it's probably the last BIG number birthday I'll have, it's all a secret I'm the only one who doesn't know what's been organised or arranged..by my daughter

You'll be fine and it is normal to have bad days , depressed times , etc but you meet life half way you try and things get going for you .
 
I looked at my hometown newspaper and wish I hadn't :(. A high school classmate died. And a good friend, a fellow biker, died. The biker friend was only 74. They were both the coolest of the cool. Yanno people who once they call you "friend," you're forever their friend? They were like that. I am desolate.
 
When I read their obits, my first thought was "I need to tell DH." That was before I remembered that he died 16 years ago.

It often happens that I'm going to ask my mother or my dad or one of my brothers, DH, DS2, or someone else who's the only person with the answer I need. Sometimes it's that I need to remember to tell them something. Then it dawns on me that nope, I can't ask or tell them anything.

This being old :poop: is just that: :poop:. I should tell DD and DS to write down their questions to ask now because when I'm gone, there'll be nobody to ask!

Good mornin' Folkies... It's 8am , another glorious Sunny morning...on my birthday...... I'm just having a cuppa tea then I'll get dresses and head out to meet up with my daughter an hour north from here, where I'm to leave my car,... and then we're going to wherever it is she's arranged .. it's all a secret... so I'll see when I get there.
