After my doctor visit, I figure as long as I was out an about, I'd take a trip to WalMart. I haven't been there in quite some time and I needed some things I can only get there. I thought mid-morning on a weekday, it wouldn't be so crowded. WRONG! The parking lot was near full. Had to park about 500 feet from the entrance. Only one check-out open.
It was like nightmares I have where I am trying to find things and can't locate them. Had to ask several clerks about merchandise. With all the people claiming to shop online, or have delivery, or order for pick-up, how could it be so crowded? I was probably in the store 2 hours, most of the time trying to find things or waiting for aisles to clear that were blocked with customers and their shopping carts.
I still can't find elastic waist jeans. I chased down a clerk and asked about them and she said she hasn't seen any in years.
By that time, more check-outs were open. A man in a wheelie cart got behind me. He only had one item, so I let him go ahead. My tab came to a little over $111! I don't think WalMart's prices are any better than other "big box" stores. My big item was a new toilet seat that was almost $40.
