Today I finished dismantling the old compost bin and built a new one. moved some of the soil, but, got a little over heated and had to stop. Plus I finished the planters and already have some seeds in one and got some covering so the squirrels can't feast on my garden stuff. (y)

Well I've got a 10 x 8 plot next to front porch someone can
claim if they want to plant real badly....LOL...I gave up a few
years back, course it was the wife's joy.....last time I did
anything was to buy about 10 pots of blooming mums and just
set the pot in the plot!!!

@hearlady Our Aldi did have the Ladies Loungewear (with pockets!), but it's a different and lighter fabric than last year's. They even had them in red. The bad news is that there was one...exactly one...pair in a small, and they were black and had the hood. Nope. They run big. Last year I got the medium, and should have got the small.

Of course, no mums. I'm wondering if it's because we're so far south. The ones I've seen posted on the AOS page on FB were from places like NewYork, PA, and Wisconsin.
Oh, mums. I got some nice mums at Aldi a couple years ago. Great price too. I hope they get some.

Hi all folks!! Glad to be here! 62F outside, heating up again, today it will get to 90f again....no rain, and we need it bad, my
lawn starting to looke deadish.....
Don't know what I will get into today, did all the little chores and such yesterday, so starting the pre-weekend with no
issues yet...feel pretty good with usual aches and pains, nothing of import....tried to get fox pics on webcam late but it did
not cooperate, think this fox is living under neighbors house....
anyhoo y'all take good care and have a thought or two about
this date....I know i am......:):cry::love::coffee:

@hawkdon Yeah. 9/11. I bet there's no one who has forgotten where they were and what they were doing that morning.

@hearlady Somebody posted on the AOS page that she got the Ladies Loungewear (with pockets!) in the large size and is positively swimming in them. I guess if I really, really want another pair, I'm gonna have to get the medium even if they are too big.

Somebody else posted that their store has the mums. Darn. I wish we'd get them.

DGD's second surgery is today. I haven't heard from DD yet, but DGD is probably already in OR.

It's cold out there. I gotta water flowers. I don't wanna go out there :(.

Today is laundry day.

ETA: flowers watered. Dang! It's cold out there!

Good morning everyone, a better start to the day today. I managed to get my husband an appointment with the doctor.

My ear cleared up yesterday with ear drops. I hate when it is plugged and can only hear out of one ear. But, all is well now.

I read what others wrote about today and my best wishes go out to everyone who suffered and lost loved ones on 9-11.

I hope everyone is well today and enjoy the day. :)

Every now and then I do something a bit crafty/sneeky. I tell a few neighbours that I intend burning leaves, old cardboard etc in a few days.

The message got around and sure enough, a neighbour came knocking this morning saying, "Hi Tim, I hear that you are planning to burn some rubbish, well, me and a few of the others are having a bonfire this afternoon, would you like us to take your stuff and burn it?"

😊 It works everytime, I can see the smoke rising from here 😊

10am Thursday now or 2+ days since exhibiting COVID-19. Last evening the worst sinus conditions peaked then at midnight began to decline. My watery sinuses were flowing like a leaky water faucet so hardly slept. So far at day 3, the disease is playing out like my case in October 2023 with a strong watery sinus infection, no fever, no gastrointestinal malaise, no headache, no sore throat. In 2023 that took 2 weeks of unpleasant symptoms then other 2 weeks to wind down.

If this continues as in 2023, in a few days will start to have sinus drainage from my severely damaged sinus tissues, attacking my throat as it attempts to cause a cough in order to spread virions. In 2023, with much unpleasant effort orienting my head unusually, I managed not to develop a cough. Not developing a cough is key to not developing lower bronchial tube and lung infections that can lead to pneumonia and death.

Is it worth phoning your doctor @David777 ?

I hope you feel better soon.

COVID-19, like with rhinovirus head colds and influenza, are not diseases a doctor will be able to much help science and health savvy persons like this person. Thus, one needs to rely on the immune system in one's body and given minimal understanding of how human bodies fight infections, common sense. My immune system has been fine. It is possible that some day a disease might appear suddenly in the future, despite average immune systems, that many will die from, as happened in New York City at the start of the pandemic before the virus changed to less fatal forms.

Well this year doesn't get better....at the beginning of june after a long horrible blood letting battle with lawyers and my ex over 4 years ... my decree absolute came through... 6 weeks later in July my car was destroyed, and I was seriiously injured which meant I had to have plastic surgery of which I'm still recovering.... 7 weeks on... today I'm told I have Basal cell Carcinoma, in 2 places and will need surgery....

Excuse me while I feel sorry for myself
I'm just taking a glance here and saw this post.
Very sorry there's yet more for you to deal with. ☹️

For some reason, I thought you had health/immunity problems. Good that your immune system is fine.

Hopefully you will start to feel better soon. :)

Building a dog-proof cat feeder today for my outside cats. It will sit on the deck rail and have a dog guard on it. For outside cats in the country with predators around, it is important to keep them well fed so they do not wander too much, especially in the evening. This has worked quite well for the last 8 years or so.
