How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Woke up with a sour gut feeling due to a bit of Sunday food binging, so have swallowed water to flush it through. Instead of getting up, just laid under my warm pile of bedding for 90 minutes with lights on looking at web stuff on my new Pixel. Construction crew is completing re-roofing our 4-plex roof this morning, that means much banging noise. Indoor temperature was 58F at 8am, so have my hair blow drier running downstairs that will bring it up to maybe 61F in an hour. Comfortable enough for this well bundled up person.

No plans to go anywhere or do much this Monday. First, will survey my long list of bookmarked websites for any live music later this week that tends to be near annual minimums due to chilly temperatures. Later this morning will put an extension tube on my Tineco portable vacuum, wearing a bright headlamp, and vacuum away ceiling cobwebs that slowly accumulate in all rooms. I need to set up my new $80 earbuds with the Pixel. One thing that scares me is possible losing these small things that not only might pop out of ears but also out of pockets. Enough of an accidental pop out issue, I'll probably still used wired earbuds while skiing. Over years, I've lost plenty of small things from pockets.
 

Had a few things to pick up at Albertsons grocery store. 10% discount today for military & military vets. Between that & the already just for U price drop saved quite a lot.

Saved so much I thought I'd get $20.00 out to try the slot machines. Played double/double video poker for 50 cents. That is $2.50 for each hand dealt. That $20.00 turned into a $200.00 win. No skill involved just lucky today.
 
I adopted Boxer Ross from a public shelter for free, including neutering, at 12 months old and 60 pounds. Today at 15 months,
his weight has increased to 74 pounds. I am wondering whether my puppy will eventually weigh 90+ pounds.

He is full of puppy love and as destructive as only a puppy can be. But I convinced him that leather bones are more suitable
for chewing than furniture. Yesterday morning a coyote walked along our fence, and Rex wanted badly to play with it, LOL.

When Rex sees a rabbit on our walks, then he takes off and tries to pull me along. Puppies are very entertaining. But no matter
how sweet puppies are, being in a few weeks 90 years old, I swear (with tears in my eyes) that Rex will be the last puppy in my
life. I expect that he will join me in celebrating my 100th birthday one day.

Morning everyone!! SLept fairly well, but soon as I woke, I heard
the neighbors rant radio going on....I fully expect thiss guy to
emerge sometime with a machine gun blazing!!!! LOL...whoever
he's listening too is a real loud ranter, and it is too loud for me
....ah well...to each their own, right?! Got a guy coming at 10am
to do some upgrades on commputer setup for me....meds being delivered today also, got to order that xmas popcorn too...maybe then I can have a couple days off LOL!!!! TAKE

Afternon peeps of SF...

It's absolutely pouring down here...🌧️🌧️🌧️.that put a spanner in the works for me today, because I wanted to take a whole bunch of stuff to the recycle centre... Mainly stuff that's been stored in the garden..metal things.... but everything is soaked, so despite the forecast yesterday saying there would only be little shower today... there's a downpour so I'm not going anywhere... much less load soaked things into my car

I will continue tho' today to clear out one of the closets as much as I can and get those things donated and or sold...

Just back from this morning's Tai Chi class. It was good. We reviewed a set of Chi Gong exrecises called 'Ji Ben Gong' then our teacher spent some time witrh the newbies while I took the rest of the class through some parts of the Tai Chi form we practice. This afternoon I have a 1-2-1 session with my teacher. Always productive. Always knackering lol.
 
Our weather starts warming up as of today, and is expected to be nice for the rest of the 10 day forecast! YAY!!!

After the gym today we are going to Wal-Mart to stock up. But somewhere in between, we are going to try to find a new place to grab a cup of coffee. I'm not looking forward to the process of trying a different place each time I'm in town, so I've decided to hold a grudge about losing the coffee place that I used to go to. (FYI: It's just coffee!!! No specialty shops, etc....just a plain, old fashioned cup of coffee!!!! ☕ )
 
Morning all, on my early walk at 6:50,temp was 21,walked around the driveway/sidewalks 3 times
I hope by mid morning, the maintenace guys will have used the small snow blower to plow the sidewalks around the building The high today in low 30's ,yesterday's high was 18
No real plans today except read yesterday& today's NYT,mail couple more Christmas cards

Good morning, everyone. It is cold and foggy here but will warm up into the 60's this afternoon. Another cold night tonight at 38 degrees. I am wearing a warm sweater and jacket that I have for these colder days.

I did not win in the Power Ball lottery but will purchase another two on Wednesday. I wish someone would win. My husband always wants tickets when it gets this high.

About ten years ago I tried to sign up for two different tai chi classes. I was told the classes didn't "make" which means there wasn't enough interest or they were poorly promoted. I feel I would be in better shape today if I had found something. I settled for chair yoga at home but thats no way to meet people.
 
an update from my morning post
I saw the new head of maintenance,Tim in the cafe while eating lunch. I asked him if one of the other guys could take the borrowed snow blower{other one is broken} walk around the building with some salt to make a path to walk on. He profusely apologized for it not being done yesterday. After lunch & nap, I went out for afternoon stroll temp was 30 sun was out,walked to the signal light then around the building, vast improvement,happy walker!
 
Am very disappointed with the results of our appointment with doctor at local Neurology Center.

Have him set you up with Therapy
for your legs.
See me in 4 months.

For some reason we thought Electric shock of some sort would be offered to him?

Another hard thing to accept is that our oldest son has to fly to Texas.
An vehicle manufacture plant has to be bought into producing cars/ trucks.

He won't be home for Christmas,,,,,,:cry:🥲
 
The window replacement guy replaced the cracked main window two days ago, but he couldn't figure out how to mount the storm window. I've been looking at it for the past 20 or so minutes trying to think of a way to mount it, and finally figured it out. I'm going to epoxy a few strips of wood onto the frame so there's something to mount the storm window to. Luckily, the weather looks good for the next week or so. I wouldn't want to do this in bad weather.

Everything is still pretty damp from yesterdays' rain, and more is forecast for mid afternoon.. so I won't be going to the recycle centre today either...

I've decided I'm just going to have a restful day today.. and do only the necessary...

I might order groceries online, to save me going to the supermarket where the crowds are just too much currently in the lead up to Christmas .. with long lines at the checkouts..

Coffee. The girls aren't up yet. They go home today. 🙁 DD said they're little brother is ready for them to be home.
I had posted that my dryer is out. I'm taking laundry to DDs when I take the girls home and do I'll some laundry there.
DH will be working on the dryer but it may not get fixed right away. The holidays are in full swing around here.
