The carpet guy who said he would get the install done in one day now will be back tomorrow; didn't finish but I am not surprised. Nothing in this house has been easy.

I understand your frustration..... I had 2 that didn't come back during the build when they said they would. No explanation, and no apologies

Hopefully he'll get back early and get it finished for you today

I'm trying to plan a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Australia and New Zealand for later this year (September or October). My poor old back will need a 'lay-flat' type of seat for such a long flight, and I am stunned at the prices! The tour prices are reasonable for the number of days and internal flights around Australia and New Zealand, but with the flight expenses from the US and back the cost is essentially doubled, and then trip insurance costs a whole lot more because the trip costs so much. I don't understand how anyone can ever afford to go anywhere over the Pacific Ocean. I hate spending money! I'm conflicted!

And with all the parts of my body that randomly go bad (back, hip, knee, foot), the whole enterprise seems risky. But I don't want to put it off because I'm getting older so fast I'm afraid it will be impossible in a few years.

But other than that self-inflicted stress, the day has been great, the weather was 51 degrees, after Pastel art class (where I managed to draw some decent looking oranges - except I didn't notice the orange in the back of the pile and in consequence the top orange in my drawing is defying the laws of physics) I walked to the grocery store (very crowded due to the snow forecast this coming weekend), and then finished up my day by taking a pile of flattened boxes to the recycling container downstairs.

that's my dream ..particularly New Zealand...as far back as I can remember I've wanted to visit.... but now , even tho' I'm a relatively fit senior lady...I don't know that I could cope with 24 hours in the air, and 2 or 3 changes in flights... not to mention the expense....

Another grey drizzly wet day here....Joy of winter...

I am in the pricess of moving losts of stuff in and out of the new build.... I'm shocked at how tiring it all is, not to mention of course that I still have not got full use of my injured hand... and my ribs still haven't healed full so it's difficult to lift items which might not felt as heavy to me just even a year ago... however there's no rush, I keep telling myself that.. and I have the weekend where I can just take my time

Morning all, went outside at 6:50 for brief morning walk, temps was 19 with slight breeze. I didn't; go far due to last night's blowing snow,walked to the back driveway which was passable and walked back
My plans today, weekly exercise class 10-10:45, read today's NYT, my book
A resident I haven;t seen in a few days asked me couple days ago if I was free to join her for dinner tonight at 5:30, other residents will be Bob& Chuck who rarely comes to dinner I said yes, look forward to it

Good morning, everyone. It will be 79 degrees today and it is sunny now at 59 degrees.

I had a delivery from Walmart that was a little later than usual but it was everything I ordered. The man who delivered started using sign language and I didn't understand but he said okay, like I understood. Anyway, he finished bringing the items up to the stairs at the top so I couldn't open the door. I grabbed some to get the door opened. Now, it is all inside.

I slept in this morning, haven't done anything yet except sip on my coffee.

It's clear, dry and around 26°F/-3.8°C out right now. Our sNOw prediction is now up to 10-18 inches. I expect to not leaving the house for at least 2 weeks, maybe three. That is the downside of living rural.

Since the sNOw won't start until later tonight, we will probably go to the gym today.....last chance to get out of the house for a while! LOL

well hello everyone!!! I'm slow moving but am here at least....9deg F out there
wind chill 3f,,,wowsa.....hate to report that my right shoulder is a wreck again.....
ah well, better me than you!!!! got my new heat pad on don't like it
as well as the old one,but what the heck...took a heavy duty pain pill a bit ago...tried
to get doc to scribe ,,,me another round of steriod pills but he wouldn't...
So we will see what happns with this weather this weekend, hope the forcasters
are overguessing......catch you later on....
