How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2026....

I'm still waiting to find out when I can hit the road tomorrow. If I get an assignment from one particular place, then I'll be up late tonight, working and will have to leave late in the day tomorrow; if I don't, I can take it easy tonight and leave around midday.
A stroke of luck! I got an assignment, but it came in about 5 hours earlier than usual. So I should be able to finish and leave by midday tomorrow. 🥳

Laundry done today for all my cotton clothing. Otherwise, mostly on my desktop post processing images from last 2 road trips. Set up appointment for tomorrow with bank to roll over a 7 month CD. Just filled my Trailblazer LS with $40 cash gas that was only 7.4 gallons or only enough to drive 200 miles. Later today, will drive north 45 miles to venue with a GD jam band.

Well... I've had dinner... the bacon & Lentil soup.....and I've chilled down the rest and decanted into soup container and put in the fridge to chill... ready for freezing..

The only trouble with batch cooking is all the utensils I use, and that makes for a lot of washing up. I do try to wash up as I go, but there's still quite a bit to be done at the end....

My favourite TV show is on later tonight.. It's a re-run of a series called ''face the music'' from the 70's... it's all about classical music... and I just adore it.. it's never in it's history been rerun.. and it's just incredible the clarity , you wouldn't believe it's 55 years old...

The sad thing is I'm so used to every show being on every night now ... that it's torture wating for this show to be broadcast because it's being shown on the BBC and they're only showing it once a week like it was back in the day... so I look forward to it all week... record it, while I'm watching it, and then I have it all week again to rewatch!

At least it's not the surprise expensive repairs that one so often encounters—you know, like when a red light goes on, you take it in, and boom, that's $350!
Well, I certainly jinxed myself with that post. After shelling out several hundred dollars on today's repairs, I now have to have further repairs done to the tune of several more hundred dollars. All told I will be out well over $1,000. 😔

And I'm running behind on another project, so I'll have to drag my desktop (no laptop yet) to my daughter's and work while the babies are sleeping, which is how I spent my own kids' childhood. Fond memories!

Oh well. At least I get to see the grandchildren, and my older daughter. They never fail to cheer me up.

Of course, I type here and on other forums and emails like I speak, so my content usually has grammatical errors, as well as typos. So please don't judge me on the basis of my posts.😊
welcome to my world. You're certainly not alone. Since my accident 8 months ago, my right hand still doesn't work properly and my posts are absolutely peppered with errors, because my fingers don't press the keys they're supposed to....

that was a thing that stuck in my craw. I spent well over £1000 having a new exhaust , new brakes, 4 new tyres , full service... all sorts done in the December.. and in the July that Feckin' woman driver.. wrote my car off for me ggggrrrr!!!!:mad:

I spent three hours today decluttering and it was almost all clutter from the past three weeks, so I still have a long way to go.

Then while taking flattened boxes to the recycling bin downstairs, I found a lot of walkers left apparently for trash pickup. I rolled home a four wheeler that has a seat (but no basket) and a three wheeler that has a canvas basket and better brakes. I might roll the 4-wheel one back down to the trash, but undecided. I don't need one but sometimes my back hurts so bad I use a cane, and so maybe a walker would be better at those times.

I've been trying to eat healthier and bought tofu for the first time, I was going to crumble a tiny bit in my breakfast scrambled egg, but put it off to tomorrow and watched a few YouTubes about tofu to get mentally ready to try it tomorrow.
What a shame that people are throwing walkers in the trash. Our FISH office in Clubhouse II is happy to get donations of walkers, canes, etc. They offer free medical equipment to anyone who wants it.

Maybe the trash workers bring the walkers to the FISH office. I hope so.

And the day was going so well and I decided
to cook brEakfast.....bad choice, had to craack
the 1st egg and dropped on the floor instead,
what a mess, right in front of the stove.....lets
see if I can finish this day in a better way!!!!!:poop::devilish:
The best way I've found, hawk and @KSav, to deal with a broken egg is a bread scraper or even a wide paint scraper.
Scraaaaape! Into a bowl. Wipe, done.

I've been doing quite a few bits around the house in the last 2 hours... My daughter called and asked me to look for something for her that I might have in one of my cupboards.. which would save her a lot of money if I did.. but sadly I don't have what she wants..

She bought a new Tent to attach onto the back of her RAV4, so she can us it as more space when she goes to the dog shows, and stays over.. , she was kind of debating whether for the expense she would get full use out of it... I told her I'd pay for it.. as a Birthday gift.. it's her birthday in 2 weeks... so she accepted gladly because there was nothing else that she would have wanted anyway , she pretty much has everything she needs..

While this was going on I had the bacon joint cooking on the stove, and now it's been cooking for 90 minutes I've been and taken it out of the pot , and added the lentils and the veggies... the soup will be ready in about 30 minutes

It's just starting now to get towards sunset which is at 6.18pm..time to start closing the blinds...
Nice gift and I love when they mention something and make gift giving easy. My daughter has been commenting on needing a new vacuum. I came across a good sale on an upgraded model, called her and asked if it would do for her birthday. She said, "Oh yes!"

Morning all, when I got out of bed there was no more pain in my partial right knee, cortisone shot has helped
On my early walk at 6:50, temp was 25 a tad cool no wind as I walked around the building twice noticed the sun coming up
My plans today read yesterday&today's NYT,do yesterday's crossword puzzle, today's after dinner when I usually do it,read my book.. I hope to take a mid morning or afternoon walk taking advantage of the sun being out today
Everybody have a good day

Going to go have the every 3000 mile oil change done on my Chevy 2002 pickup this morning.

I bought it new and it's only got 114,800 miles on it and runs great, it could use a new paint job (sun fade pretty bad on the roof and hood) but I'm not willing to spend 3-$5000.00 right now.....the dash is sun cracked here and there and I may stop at the auto parts store after the oil change to see if they have a dash cover to fit it.

Pre sun fade.

We've been seeing a piebald robin hanging around our house lately. It's been a long, long time since I've seen one. Actually, I think this is the first one I've seen since moving here 26 years ago! Mr. Google gave me this picture and said that only 1 in 30,000 birds are a piebald robin!

If it's not raining later, I'm going to the gym and then Wal-Mart today.

Sue, I'm pleased that you have no pain in your knee so quickly , usually it takes 2 weeks to take effect...

Talking of Cortisone injections..last week or the week before.. the surgery sent me a link to their portal to book for my Cortisone injection in my hip.... .. and I made the appointment for their earliest available date which was the end of April.

Today they've sent me another link to make an appointment... so goodness knows what's going on there...

Today's it's overcast and quite breezy.. It came as a bit of a surprise when I stepped out to be hit by cold and wind, when we've had such warm and sunny weather for the last couple of weeks..

Have the best day you can folks...🌹🌻

Good morning to everyone. It is overcast and windy, today will only be 72.

I have gathered all the information for our taxes this Friday at the H&R Block appointment. I am sure we will not get a big refund but at least it will show we filed.

We are going out to lunch today.

Have a great day, everyone. Best wishes to all that are not feeling well today.
