Good morning, all! Busy day ahead here. 22 month old just arrived for the day, our overnight guest will arrive around 4:30pm, then my son, DIL and their 4 year old will come for dinner and the evening.

We'll have the 4 year old all day tomorrow plus the 22 month old in the afternoon/evening. DS asked if we could take both kids for a while so he & his wife could have a few hour break - and a little alone time. ❤️

Hope all of you can make today a good one!

Still nothing exciting going on, here!

Good morning, everyone. It is cold out 32 degrees but warmer tonight at 43 degrees and then the weekend with 21 degrees as a low on Saturday and 24 on Sunday. The big freeze, I guess, hitting the Southeast.

I am going out this morning to uncover my Gardenia plant and then have to cover again for the weekend. My old plant seems to survive while other plants in people's yards are dead from the cold. It has been over 18 years since I bought it and is in a planted pot. It sometimes has many flowers and sometimes not so many.

I hope you all will have a good day and please take care of yourselves. :)

I lost about a half dozen creeping gardenias about five years ago. We has a cold sbap and I had no idea they needed to be covered. They had lasted decades before that.

The news this morning was dreadful plus a major snow storm is predicted for tomorrow. I miss having an able bodied man around. The guys are great at opening jars which I really appreciate but not so hot at anything heavy duty. I do pay one of them for yard work so maybe I could do the same for shoveling if needed.

It is also going to be frigid. I worry about the cats. There is a small space for them to go under the deck and sun room. Too small for dogs or coyotes which is great. I will have to make sure the snow doesn;t block them in.

And now for the good news... I will have to check the good News Network and get back to you.

I got out today. DH and I usually got the Fajita special on Friday. :(
I want to buy some clothes but nothing new is in yet. I guess Presidents Day will be the time for Spring arrivals. Then actual Spring...I can't wait.
I bought a few little things but not getting the dopamine hit I was looking for.
I feel like I have a job. It's dealing with V.A., S.S., plumbers, lawn guys, searching for documents and things like generators and snow shovels long lost in an overfilled shed.
I am lucky though. I'm secure and have everything I need. I want my husband though.
Yesterday I picked two cabbages from his garden. The first year he did an actual winter garden. He would be so proud of the cabbage and Brussel Sprouts this year! I cooked the cabbage with onions and carrots and thanked him. He did good.
