How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2026....

Good morning! I slept well last night and feel pretty good this morning....well, as good as I get anyway! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚

I've a good, hot, cuppa in front of me. I think I'm ready for Monday! There are plenty of projects/jobs that need to be done, so the possibilities for the day are endless. We'll see if I actually get anything done or not. ๐Ÿ˜

Let me know what everyone is up to today. I have bail money ready! LOL_41x23-vi.png

Good morning to everyone. It is 59 degrees this morning after a stormy day yesterday. The weather wasn't as bad as they predicted. It ended at 6:00 pm instead of 8:00 pm. It was so dark at times but not much happened even with a Tornado warning.

It should be a nicer day today but we are still needing more rain. Oh dear, it is always something.

@hollydolly wow, that is a lot of food. The woman who cooks it must be a chef with the appearance of everything. Yes, she could move next to me, too. :D

Good day wishes to everyone.:)

I am living the best part of my life. Having coffee at this moment, I care for many cats and my day begins early because they are all spoiled. Due to circumstances out of my control one of the youngest is blind and I can't say for sure if it was blind when born or infection possibly blinded it.

The eyes were buggy or bulged outward and had puss. I cleaned them 3 times daily and they finally returned to normal size but the poor thing was blind. He has an almost twin brother two black and whites like Sylvester the Cartoon Cat. So when I make coffee in the mornings or any trip to the kitchen all the young cats love to follow me and then go out thru the under sink cabinet.

The blind guy follows the hall wall to and from but I never leave it in the kitchen but always bring it back to the hallway where he is familiar with surroundings. He is normal in every respect except for the blindness. We have a respiratory virus and every cat in this town has been sick .. It is like a cold we humans might have but it is not contagious or transmits to humans.

So I am poor as a Church Mouse but life has been extremely kind and wonderful.

No Rae..she's not a chef, but I'll tell her you said so.. she'll be delighted...:D

She always is amazed when I tell her how delicious her food is... genuinely amazed, as tho; she feels that I've never eaten before lol....

Today it;s been raining , hard.... and there's big puddles everywhere but it's now stopped at 3.30pm.

I have new neighbours moving into the house where the young widower moved out... looks like they're Londoners... according to the name on their removal van..

It'll be interesting to see if they have any children, because there hasn't been children living in that house since the 1960's...

Rain today - not complaining because we can use it. I feel kinda sorry for kids though - it's a holiday weekend (Presidents' Day, celebrating the births of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln), and it's always a bummer when they can't play outside on a day off from school.

The average American life span is 78.4 years or 28,635 days. Whether you're in the US or elsewhere, I hope you find a way to wring some value from this day.

it's a holiday week for our kids... 1/2 term... seems like only 5 minutes since they returned to school after Christmas break

Knee is still creaking, so against my better judgement, I decided to phone the health center. Why did I bother? Owing to lack of staff, they run a triage system . You can phone at specified times and they take a note of your symptoms, then if they think it's worth treating, they call you back. Well, that's the idea, but what you get is a message saying that they're too busy and can't take your call.

Sore knee, no problem, you can self refer to an NHS physiotherapist. Just download a form, fill it in, send it back and within 3 days someone will decide whether it's worth treating - otherwise take two tablets and rest. First problem is that the downloaded form uses a format that not all devices can read. When you do find a device that works, the form is so long that you just give up.

OK, nothing for it, I phoned the private physio clinic in town. At least they answered the phone and listened to my tale of woe. Unfortunately they were booked solid till next month (probably dealing with frustrated NHS patients) , but they had a cancellation list, so if a slot became available, they would phone.

Well, it's back to regular applications of ice and paracetamol.

We had a nice surprise this morning,, an old friend stopped in.
Nice to see her, she's living near Erie, helping her brother.

Hubby's other tooth fell out, all 3 are out,, again
Called the dental office,,, they will see him this afternoon.
While I had the phone in hand ,, called couple places I have appointments .
Made sure I had the times & date correct.

Hubby opened can of chicken noodles soup for his lunch .
Now to make myself lunch,,,,,,???
I need Holly's neighbor..:p

Can't figure out why they just didn't go ahead and do it when I had the two stents put in (or prior to) just before Thanksgiving but I've got to have a 'bilateral carotid unltrasound' this morning at 9:00 to check for any blockages in my carotid arteries in my neck...it's a pretty quick, painless procedure and probably not a bad idea to go ahead and have done for stroke prevention.

Morning all, my early walk at 6:50 temp was 39 with dense fog as I wore my yellow reflector vest as I strolled around the building, but did so on the bike path. Some of the sidewalks around the building still have ice/ snow on them. I did notice in some areas I could see grass-Yippee!
NO real plans today read yesterday & today's NYT, tackle both of crossword puzzles, see what today's lunch&dinner menu is offering. I hope to go for another walk either mid morning or this afternoon
Every body have a great day

Half term break here was 9th & 10th. Feb. That's it till the Spring holiday in April.
the kids here came off on the 13th and will return on the 23rd... , which is just stupid IMO... and then at Easter they'll get 2 weeks... they come off on the 27th of March and don't return until the 13th of April...

then in July they are off for 6 weeks....

I'm dreading this because they just implemented this triage sytem here at my surgery on the 11th of this month ...even the receptionists told me they were dreading it...

Maybe the Stints were more important since the heart had to be made healthier so it could get the blood to the brain. My Sister for a long time worked making those stints in Los Angeles. You'll feel much better if they should find a blockage and they repair it. For myself they don't make a stink to repair laziness ;)

G'afternoon peeps of SF...

It's just after 2pm and dry at last... 5 deg ...

I'm just waiting for a package to arrive should be here in a few minutes...
