Ksav..just quick word about your earlier link which I've had more time to read.. thank you again. I had absolutely no idea Mason & Dixon were British..none at all.. I did know about William Penn of course.. we have a Quaker hall here in my little market town with a plaque with his name on it etc... but essentially from reading that info..it seems it was us, the British who decided where the dividing line was in the USA...

I won't go on any more lest we get political comments but thanks again..something new I've learned today !(y)

Had a fun morning skiing w my daughter and her boyfriend. I saw 6 deer from the lift on my first ride up, then a hour or so later we were on the Hershey Highway which is right now a ribbon of snow across a bare sagebrush hillside when 2 deer bounded uphill across the cat track as we skied down!!! Missed them by about 10'. There was a 3rd one waiting till we passed by to take her turn crossing.

Oddly enough a couple years ago a local skier hit a small deer crossing the run just above Hershey Hiway. It died quickly and then the skier skied down w/it, taking roadkill is legal In Idaho. A couple days later there was a free deer stew dinner at a nearby restaurant.

I had to reorganize a small section of my storage closet to fit the bundle of toilet paper we got from Costco. I also saved an Amazon box that I knew I could fit a few small Space Bags with clothes in them. The box conveniently fit on top of the TP bundle.

My son and I had the first part of our business meeting this afternoon. Good thing, because he had forgotten where I keep important estate documents. I'm telling ya...these young people are more forgetful than we seniors!

Where I live, the locals call Northerners Yankees (or Damn Yankees), and the Northerners call the locals Hillbillies. It's all in fun, and as far as I know, no one is mean and no one is offended.

We even used to have a business here called "The Yankee Plumber". The logo on the truck proclaimed "We do things like they did back home!" 1774265906118.gif
 
Morning all, I didn't go outside for my usual early walk, temp was 32, will go out later
My plans today, at 10am taking Gates van, drop off my tax forms to my accountant, then being dropped off at medical office. I'm having a cortisone shot in my partial right knee,last time I was there was in July. l want to walk farther than I can now,without being in pain,the shots do help me
When I return see what the lunch& dinner menu is offering,do today's NYT crossword puzzle on line

Morning all friends!!! Arose at 5am today, fairly good
nite of sleep, got up with lots of achyness, weather
of course, plus arthritis of course...no biggie plans
yet, .....will take it as it comes....I've had a hot dog
bait out on back porch for 2 nites now, to lure the
fox into eating them, so far so good, I think tonites
hot dog will contain a hidden pill, like to get him
treated for that mange before hot weather...will see
what happens, found out I cannot film it due to loss of Sim card in my stealth camera, dang it...
Shoulders very achy today, may put pain patches
on both....I have realized that one thing I do daily
is no longer working for me....taking that cuppa from the kitcchen to the chair or here at the pc....Now I am subject to spilling coffee all over
the place, booo hooo....guess I mite break out
the 2 handled coffee cups that my wife used for
a time..... It is only 31 deg, so prob won't turn on
the a/c like I did yesterday !! well enuff of my
blather, catch up with you latere on Q!~;):cool::love::coffee::devilish:
 
I'm having a tough time getting moving today, just feeling lethargic and run down. I need to get ahead on my work because I'll be out of town visiting my older daughter for a couple of days. I have my expensive car appointment later this afternoon: a regular oil change plus some expensive brake work. I am dreading it even though the dealership gave me a heads-up last September. At least it's not the surprise expensive repairs that one so often encounters—you know, like when a red light goes on, you take it in, and boom, that's $350!

I'm still waiting to find out when I can hit the road tomorrow. If I get an assignment from one particular place, then I'll be up late tonight, working and will have to leave late in the day tomorrow; if I don't, I can take it easy tonight and leave around midday. I'm torn. Well, not torn, exactly: I want the money from the work, but I don't want to DO the work. 🤣

We have below-freezing temperatures and snow forecast for my trip home, but at least it's not freezing rain! And the car will have been checked over.

I'd better get going on my day. I hope everyone is well.

It's a nice day today.. not lovely.. but warm.. and almost blue skies.. but we're forecast for rain for the next 2 days...

The Otex Ear Spray has just beend elivered so altho' the blocked ear has released somewhat it's still not fully unblocked so I'll use that spray shortly...
@KSav , just be careful, don't get yourself overtired before you start out on your journey to your daughters'...

@hawkdon ..sorry to hear that you're struggling with holdding a vup now.. but a good idea of yours to use a 2 handled cup...

Cold wind & snow or it that a fine rain?
What ever it is hubby has gone of to the nephew's.

The tree that fell was big, split in two.
One piece went different direction,uprooted the tree roots.

Wishing that oldest son can come home at Easter.

@hollydolly I hope your ears get unblocked with the ear drops.

@hawkdon it is so upsetting when accidents happened with food. I seem to have more accidents with drinks. I spill my Canada Dry Ginger Ale can sometimes and husband with his cup of water. Anyway, it happens. I hope you did get your breakfast, though.

@moviequeen1 I think having a menu for lunch and dinner would suit me well. I hope you select choices you like.

Hello to everyone who checks in today.
I was up early and looked out to see 2 inches of fresh snow on the ground. Yikes, we had so much snow over the winter that I did not want to see more! It's time to see robins.
I had an appointment at the hospital for routine blood work at 8.10 so went and got that done, then came home and had a late breakfast. Hope there is sun in your corner of the world.

I've been doing quite a few bits around the house in the last 2 hours... My daughter called and asked me to look for something for her that I might have in one of my cupboards.. which would save her a lot of money if I did.. but sadly I don't have what she wants..

She bought a new Tent to attach onto the back of her RAV4, so she can us it as more space when she goes to the dog shows, and stays over.. , she was kind of debating whether for the expense she would get full use out of it... I told her I'd pay for it.. as a Birthday gift.. it's her birthday in 2 weeks... so she accepted gladly because there was nothing else that she would have wanted anyway , she pretty much has everything she needs..

While this was going on I had the bacon joint cooking on the stove, and now it's been cooking for 90 minutes I've been and taken it out of the pot , and added the lentils and the veggies... the soup will be ready in about 30 minutes

It's just starting now to get towards sunset which is at 6.18pm..time to start closing the blinds...
