Well I'm finally done... and I'm sooooo hot! 🥵🥵... I managed to get the front lawn done... my neighbour was just going out , and he went back and got me his lawnmower which is corded, to use on my lawn... However his wasn't really any better, it struggled to cut the winter grass....so I alternated between the 2 mowers until the grass was down low, and then went over it again with the cordless mower.. but it just managed to hold a charge until then and no more

It's such a beautiful warm sunny day.. I can't tell you how hot I got out there doing all that.. and it normally takes me half hour or 45 minutes to cut the front lawn it took me an hour and a half with all the palaver..

I've put everything away now all the tools, and I'm just having a freezing cold drink..then I'm going into the shower....

Looking at large snow flakes falling ,, in PA today!

Son is on his way back to Michigan.

He may have over 'did' Sunday, looking for things buried under more things.

I made a large batch of meatballs & noodles with spaghetti sauce,,, Saturday.

My guys oked it for Sunday dinner.

That is a gorgeous oak woodland! Blue is a very uncommon forest or woodland understory flowering plant species color. Are those the famous, grand English Oak, quercus robur, species and the flowers English Bluebells, hyacinthoides non-scripta ? English kids must love climbing those trees. I suspect the light green of your deciduous oaks means they have recently leafed out after winter.

I love how you captured the scene near midday with overhead sun with maybe filtered diffuse thin cloud lighting. The bright green leaves also even out what more often would be harsh lighting. On an uncommon midday with moments without a breeze, this could make a super focus stacked large image...

Looks like I am going to enjoy some live music later on today from 6pm. A few miles away in downtown San Jose, a very experienced jazz blues musician and his band will be playing outdoors. Sounds much like Elvin Bishop. Currently, sunny, light breeze, with upper 60F/low 70Fs temperature and forecast shows that will pleasantly hold into this evening.

This morning, finally finished the last of my wildflower landscape trip post processing work. Will need to start html coding for my website. Saturday night, given a bout with insomnia from too much mental computer work, only had 3 hours of sleep. Then last night, Easter, fell asleep at 7:30pm, awoke at 11pm, back to sleep at 1am, and then slept till 6am. So feeling much better.

yes they are Oaks and Bluebells which grow right in the woods behind my house... as well as in so many other woodland places around the uk . Usually they don't bloom ( the bluebells) until nearly May

You're absolutely correct about the light green of the oaks as they are just leafing again after winter.... its always a 'light'' feel to the woods at this time of year.. whereas during the late summer there's a beauty, but a heaviness to them

One of the most famous Oaks in that park and woodland is a ''Great Oak'' estimated to be around 800 years old with a girth of 25 feet... and 70 feet tall

this taken at a different time of the year of the Great Oak...

@David: somebody is asking for you in one of the other threads.. the 'pet peeves' thread- said they can't read the text in your posts because of the different color..

I did so much today... that right after dinner , I fell asleep, for 2 hours, didn't wake up until 9.45pm... fatal for me, it means I'll be up all night,:( and I really dodn't want to sleep during the day tomorrow because it's forecast to be another lovely day so I want to get out ...

Before sunrise, I posted on the forum, sent an email to my BFF, viewed the Costco sale brochure in my email, made my Costco list then deleted some emails. I also filled out a survey for H & R Block’s tax software.

I had a 12:30 appointment for a mammogram, ultrasound (done routinely after the mammo) and bone density test. My son joked that it’s a lot of radiation for one day and (since I no longer have a microwave), I could heat my food in my hands.

The tests themselves weren’t bad at all. Both techs were gentle, efficient and very pleasant. I thanked them and commended them on their work. I let them know they’ll get 5 stars when I do the survey. The only problem I had was having to lay flat for several minutes during the bone density and ultrasound. When I got up, I was stiff and felt achy. This is why I stopped sleeping in my bed at least 10 years ago, even though my bed is much softer. That achiness has lasted all day!

I took Lyfts to and from the appointment. Lyft is usually more expensive than Uber, but today partly due to their 10% discount, I saved $10 off Uber's cost. When I got home I was very hungry, so good thing I had leftovers from the restaurant. I talked with my neighbor (who I've entrusted with my key) in the hallway while she waited for her disabled daughter's program van to drop her off. She lost her sister last week, so gave her a sympathy card. I also gave her the complimentary CD I promised when she asked where she could purchase the album with the songs she heard on our broadcast featuring my music.

After that I took our HOA check to the community drop box before washing off the ultrasound gel residue and changing into my house clothes. I took a nice long nap this evening; now I'll be up in the middle of the night, as usual. But y'all have a ......

Good night, sweet dreams.jpg

Good morning, everyone. I am very tired this morning because I couldn't sleep, so I got up and went online for a bit. (Screens in the middle of the night—that was an unwise choice.) I found an interesting Substack blog on estranged parents. There was a lot of painful stuff. I can't decide if reading about it helps, in that I know I'm not the only one who has been cut off by a child, or hurts, in that it constantly drags the pain to the forefront of my consciousness. I'm dreading Mother's Day so much.

I'm meeting some friends for coffee around midday and am looking forward to that. :) :coffee: I also still have a lot of work to catch up on, and a lot of cleaning to do, so I'd better get to it.

I hope everyone has a good day!

I won't be sitting around online for as long as usual this morning. It's going to be a busy day.....

First, I have an appointment at the doctor's office, to get my Medicare Wellness stuff done. So we'll be leaving for town an hour earlier today. Too bad I couldn't get it done while I was there yesterday.....sigh.

Next stop is the gym. I'm looking forward to being able to do my knee and hip PT using the straps, and having a good workout, in general.

After that, we'll probably have time to go for coffee, before meeting my Mom at Pizza Hut, to celebrate my birthday! Hard to believe, but they don't have coffee at that restaurant!! 😮

Looks like I'm on the run, again! 🏃

Have a great day!

Morning all, on early walk at 6:50, temp was 28 with a couple passing snow flurries, just a reminder even though the calendar says its spring, snow flakes could be around when its this cold as I walked around the building before breakfast The forecast today is cloudy temps in the 30's
