yes I was actually surprised a couple of days ago at Costco because I spent £145 and change...on what seemed very little. Granted I haven't been for a few months but still....I spent £40 of it on fuel.. £105..was on just 2kg chicken thighs 1k , sausages, 1k,Strawberries.. 2kg Shrimp rice....box of frozen mini donuts for the kids next door..4 boxes of non latex gloves.. some paper plates , and 2 pairs of trainers in the sale ..( trainers were £30 for both )

I sure did. The music was delightful and far more intricate than what one might expect of a middle school orchestra and band. For some segments the orchestra played alone, for others they were joined by the band.
 
I think I have ADHD...lol... 2 and a half hours ago I went downstairs to make a cuppa tea.... I put the kettle on then went into the garden... and decided to clear the shed out. While I was there I noticed the laurel hedge had suddenly grown very fast outwards.. so I got the electric trimmer.. and cut it back.. the hedge is very big...something like 30 feet by 80 I just cut back up to where I could reach which was only about 7 feet high...

while doing that I noticed the birds had no mealworms .. so i filled a feeder with those..( it's very hot ) and refilled the birdbath... once I'd cut the hedge I fed and watered my plants. Foxgloves, & lupins.. and lillies...then I went back to finishing the shed... and chucking loads of stuff out, I filled a 1/2 of a 240 litre wheelie bin... eventually I got everything put away and came in washed up, and decided I was too hot for the tea and poured myself an ice cold coke...:ROFLMAO:

Growing up, my parents enjoyed gardening and would often plant strawberries. Like the wild variety, they were small sweet berries that I loved to eat. This is a small crop from recent photo of wild beach strawberries I took during my North Coast road trip:

so I went back down 45 minutes ago... and put a big family size Chicken and asparagus pie in the oven... and then went out and raked up all the laurel leaves ( it's past 7pm now ).... ... so I think at 71 with OA in my hands and knees I've done more than my share today for exercise lol

just waiting now for the pie to be ready.... 🥧
 
@Babs2u , below is a PostImages dot com link to a better framed crop that as is, will fit sharply on a standard 11 by 8.5 inch sheet. At PostImages, select the Download Original Image button. The actual image size is 2425 by 1954 pixels and is set to 247.3 pixels/inch so will print out at 9.8 by 7.9 inches as is. A cost of about $3 at a FedEx Office on their higher quality printer anyone on SF can do. The image was focus stack blended from 19 shots on my Sony a6700 using a Sigma 56mm DC DN lens at F5.0 with the full image size 6150 by 4100 pixels.

On Redwood Creek Beach in Redwood National Park on May 7, 2026. I love the glossy texture of the red skin on the sweetly ripe red strawberry as well as its shiny dark seeds.

We went uptown to get medicine and stopped at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Wouldn't you know, it started raining hard and I got out of the car, struggled with the umbrella and got soaking wet.

Anyway, made it home okay.
