everyone! I'm actually feeling a bit better today!

🌞 It has been a beautiful day today! I actually went outside this afternoon to trim a few small (easy!) branches from the rose of sharon bushes. It felt wonderful to putter around in the sun. (my skin Dr may disagree!)

😕 I didn't get my bridge yesterday. Just as I was getting ready to leave for my appointment, the dental office called to reschedule me. It turns out that my Dentist has the same "crud" that I have!

If the weather holds out, I'm going to the gym tomorrow morning. I won't over do it, but I will start working at getting some of my strength back.

It was a big adventure to the vet for my terrier yesterday. I thought he would shake his self out of his little body. Vet comes into do his job, vaccines, heart, lungs, teeth. His temp was high. I say he is having a lot of trouble with anxiety, vet "you think so!". So now this little fellow will be taking trazadone 50mg. twice daily. I laughed out loud because I have taken this same medication.

Had a lovely little dinner, beef filet, baked potato, broccoli. Put together and baked a peach cobbler, then did not even have any of it.

Tonight was steak fingers, little red roasted potato and asparagus, all cooked in the air fryer. I just rectified the peach cobbler oversight, it is wonderful!!

Excercise today was sweeping and mopping the floors the first part of the day.
Followed up the rest of the day with the bending and picking up the newly dropped furballs and leaves that the big dog rains down on me everyday. Then I watch the news and see we will have a storm tomorrow. I will just have to start all over, there is never an end to paw prints and debris at my house. I wish I could say lol but it is more like cry out loud!

After I got up from my slumber, I did a bunch of financial transactions that I didn't have focus for before.

I felt happier than I've felt in days, maybe even a few weeks.

I ate some to make up for missing meals yesterday and drank more water.

I'm still a bit tired and hoping to get even more sleep later, but I'm OK if I'm up for a while. I'll see how it goes.

9am... dry and mild...51 deg expected high 60f...

I have a telephone appointment with the lawyer this morning. I learned yesterday that I should have completed a certain form sent to me by the soon2bex's lawyers weeks ago.. which is a crucial part of the whole circus.. but I never received it...I'm really stressed about this whole thing....

Anyway hopefully I can get this resolved this morning, then I have to be at the council offices in person today to drop off some important documents.. they're only open 2 days a week for 4 hours.. and my meeting with my lawyer will take up half of that... then I'm also expecting the food parcel from Scotland to arrive today too with the specialist meats etc..... quite what time that's coming is anyone's guess..

@hollydolly Wow. So what are you going to do in your spare time?;)

It's a pleasant 55 out this morning so coffee on the patio didn't require getting bundled up, just jammies and robe. We're expecting a sunny and very warm day. 80F. Woohoo!

Today is laundry and playing in the dirt. Gotta get a wiggle on so the laundry gets done before it's daylight.

I've been sleeping on the couch in my LR for the past week. Came home exhausted last night, put on TV, went to couch. Suddenly there was so much noise, I woke up so confused, it was someone with their hand on doorbell, other hand banging loudly on door. I thought, 'is there a fire?' and dumbly said 'who?' to the door.

My downstairs neighbor man yelling 'it's after midnight lady, lower your effin' TV.'

I immediately said 'I'm sorry.' The TV was on volume 67 out of 100. I guess I just fell into a very deep sleep after hitting the couch.

I took a Xanax and woke up five hours later.

I get up at 5 AM every morning but I had a medical appt 25 miles away at 8:30 AM and I figured I better set the alarm, but turned it off 4.50 AM.

It has the most horrible sound-but I guess they all do.

Two med appts in March, both went well, and an eye appointment next month.

Today lunch is a grilled ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich, and I am also stewing half a chicken (with the other half in the freezer') with usual trilogy vegs, and a parsnip and if there is enough liquid left over for tomorrow I might add canned okra and some nice white rice for a gumbo.

It is 60 degrees here and later I will do some yard work. I have two large rose bushes and their canes have to be cut off.

I love being outside!!!!!!!
Have you tried your phone's alarm? You can pick a pleasant sound and it will start off soft and get louder to give you time to wake up.

It is going to be 81° today! I will be outside. It was 80° yesterday and got hot working. I thought how do we survive in July and August with high nineties. I guess we adapt through the months.
My daughter's family are in D.C. for a couple of days. I said to say hi to the president. She said they went and it was all gated, couldn't even see the White House. These are the times. 😔

morning folks....wow what an evening, even after storm over
me was gone, we got lightning show for hours.....got abt 1.5 inches of rain in all that mess....dunno about roof, altho could
be damaged from some of the hail...will check for downed
tree limbs when daylight gets here...have a great day !!!...

Laundry started. Showered, dressed, litter box cleaned. I'm a dynamo this morning.

It's time to change from winter sheets to summer sheets. The winter sheets have kitties wearing ear muffs, watch caps, scarves. They're gonna rest until December while plain white sheets get used for summer.

After almost three years with the company, I've discovered that there's a night differential in pay. How would I have known? I've only started before 6 a couple of times so wouldn't have noticed anything extra on my paycheck. It's only $1/hr more but adds up to $10/week. I'll take it 💰.

It was nice to start laundry and have plenty of water pressure to take a shower, too. This new tankless water heater is leased. Yup. That explains why DD didn't need the Bank of Mom. The way it works is that it costs $/month. Anything that's needed for as long as it's here is paid for by the plumbing company. Anything. They come out once a year (or as needed) to flush and de-scale it, even make any repairs that might be needed. Anything at all at no other cost to DD/DSIL, even when it's time to replace it in about 20 years. In the unlikely event that DD/DSIL sell the house, the lease can be assumed by the buyer if they choose. That sounds like a good deal to me.

Good morning, all!

Very windy day - 35 mph with gusts to 60 until this evening. Thank goodness we're not in fire season (autumn). High today of 66°, then from Sunday through next week it'll be in the mid 70s.

Have some things to do on the computer and am awaiting an Amazon package, but nothing pressing on my schedule. We had TGS Tues morning through yesterday evening so today will be about catching up and relaxing.

well..being as you asked so nicely..I will tell you...lol... seriously..tho' I got that legal matter cleared up.. then I put a big bag of donations into the car .. and went off to the council offices.. got that sorted, then drove in the opposite direction, to the village 10 miles away where they've recently opened a new beautiful Hospice charity shop, and dropped the donation off to them....oooh it looked like a Boutique and smelled like a spring garden in there, so lovely..🌷🌺🌹

From there I drove another 20 miles North to get shopping from Tesco.. and they have a sale of all their winter clothing, so I got next winters, jumpers for 1/2 price.. and then from there to the next town to get the Big Box Hardware store.. then from there another 10 miles to Costco... , and stocked up for the next 6 months in Loo rolls, paper towels.. Latex gloves.. frozen food.. etc..

.. it was a good day for food samples... they were mostly giving free sample of various fish.., I like fish but I'm not trusting not to get food poisoning from a free sample of fish.. However further along I got a little bit of lasagne, and then at the next Vendor, he was giving away big chunks of water Melon. so that was my free lunch... :D

Costco was packed today like it was the weekend... dunno why.....so there ya are Gigi... that's what I fitted in around the rest of the stuff I had to do ..lol

It was a glorously sunny day in the end.. started off dull, but by Mid-day it was beautiful...

Oh I forgot to tell you all.. the other thing, is that the food delivery from Scotland didn't arrive.. because the van had broken down half way between Scotland and London.

I got a phone call from the Scottish butcher in Edinburgh.. who was so nice.. his family have owned the same butcher business for 200 years... he said that in all the years they've been doing long distance deliveries , this has only happened 3 times, . he said that the meat will be fine because it's packed in refrigerated boxes which are the same temperature as the home fridge.. and that the delivery will be here tomorrow..instead. He's actually offered a free meat pack for the inconvenience..

Well, @hollydolly, it's a good thing that your day wasn't a total waste;).

Funny about the first truly warm spring day. It feels hot 🥵 when it's in March. Really. 80 in July? I'd be grateful for a "cool" day.

Snapdragons are planted in between clusters of ornamental blue fescue. The lavender stayed in the pot it came in, and I dug a hole for the pot and all just to see how it does. If it looks like it'll stay healthy and strong, I'll make a permanent spot for it. Lavender hasn't liked me in the past.

I dug up a whole bunch of weeds. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so there will be more mocking me on Saturday.

Lost track of time, came in to cool off and discovered that it was after 2. A nap kept calling me until I remembered that there were clothes in the dryer. Drat.
