Looks like being dry, but cold today. If it's not too bad, I'll get some more gardening done. I must get a load of garden waste gathered up and take it to the recycling centre. It's not collected along with the refuse so we have to dispose of it ourselves. We compost as much as possible, but that's a long term activity.
Our garden waste is collected but it costs me £50 annually to have it done. The next town ( different council) have just had their garden waste collection price doubled..to £99... so I'm thinking the same might happen here.

Today it's a glorious & sunny ☀️☀️ day for the first day of Spring....

I got some things done in the garden this morning.. then DD ran in her lunch break. She goes home from work at lunch time so she can walk her one remaining dog, and give her a little snack.. so she rang while she was walking the dog.

I've been sent 2 potential new properties..to look at today. Both have their relative positives and both have negatives. I've sent for more info for them both..

One is a 2 bed Bungalow in a quiet area but only 4 minutes drive from the Beach..... but I would need a car to reach essential services, doctors, shops etc.. The other is an apartment in a 4 apartment Block right in the middle of a Southern Coastal town.. so everything right there on the doorstep... and I would barely have to use my car but the apartment only has one bedroom...
..so we'll see what happens when I hear back..

@CallMeKate I didn't go back to bed; I went to work. It was so cold in there today that I had to keep stepping into the oven to warm up!

DD and I are going Walmarting this afternoon. We might go to the garden center first. Mulch on sale, and I need a crapton. The weather tomorrow is supposed to actually be springlike so that I can spread it.

The lawn might get mowed this afternoon after our Walmart adventure.

Yesterday, I was up (8:30) at this time and ready to go for my haircut. Got a call that she was ill; this happened in Dec. too. My substitute hairdresser was booked this week, so today I’ll be trying a new fellow. Since it’s a different location, I’ll check out some shops in the area.

The excitement of the day is that I am up at 10AM. I don't go to bed until the wee hours of the morning. Son is coming to do yard work a little afternoon. We will have a little catch up as he and the family went to Disney Florida last week.
They drove, I am always a worry wart about that.

They stopped the first night in New Orleans, then onto Orlando the next day. Spent 3 days at the parks, then onto Pensacola where they had a couple of beach days. They had a wonderful time, back home safe but exhausted.

Catch up later!

Both lawns cut...*Phew* very hot out there wearing a Viscose Mix Jumper.. jeez...😰.....I did manage to get the rear lawn done again as well.. even tho' I was hotter than the hinges on the gates to hell..

The front lawn will need doing again very soon, because altho' it's cut down, it'll need more to make it look very neat after 4 months of winter...

I did get the weeding done too.. not much to do there because even through winter I kept up with it as best as I could

I had to get straight into a cool shower when I got done.. and even now I'm still Hot...😵‍💫

I got a letter from the hospital telling me to bring nightwear and essentials with me for my outpatient appointment on the 2nd of April in case the consultant decides to admit me into hospital immediately.. 😯

I've never had a letter from outpatients saying that before. Usually they will see you in outpatients and then decide if you need to be admitted at a later date..

I think they must feel your test results are such that you may need quick hospitalization, Hols.

Maybe a new policy. Makes sense just in case.
Good luck with your home searching. I'm excited for you! Didn't you say you never liked that house?

Well technically this is for yesterday. since it's now a little after midnight. I didn't post this sooner because I got distracted online.. I had to catch up with my Facebooking and posts here. Yesterday was a lazy day which started with prayer, a quick breakfast then getting on the computer. That was a mistake because I got "trapped" and decided not to go pick up my Amazon package until today. I napped on and off because I was feeling a bit tired. I also didn't know what I was having for dinner because I'm bored with food right now (unless it's sweets). I called my son and asked when he could pick up stuffed mushrooms and baked potato from the diner and he said Friday.

After I had a small bag of Popcorners , my son called, said he'd already left work (it was around 1:30) and could pick up the food on the way home. Yaaay! So dinner problem solved. Shortly after he got in, he wanted us to have studio time for at least an hour, so I ate half a mushroom and 1/4 of the potato to tide me over. We spent an hour and a half putting the finishing touches on my dance-exercise tune. Won't know if that's the final until I listen to it a few times on different devices.

Got a call from a friend of mine who has COVID. We haven't been together, so I was not exposed. After eating the other half of the mushroom and another 1/4 of the potato, I fell asleep. I woke up when my son came to kiss me before he went to bed. Tussled with Deja to dry her off because she now thinks its fun to play in the water from the dripping tub faucet, Don't want her jumping on me or worse. our equipment while she's wet. I also revised my spreadsheet to reflect the new April budget.

Weather wasn't too bad yesterday, so I got a fair bit of digging done in the vegetable plot. It's remarkable that no matter how thorough you are, you always find potatoes that you've missed. Definitely will take the rubbish to the recycling centre today and drop into Tesco for a couple of items.

My old Nikon camera has become unreliable and I lost my old Fujifilm one years ago. No matter, a spider had got into the optics and every picture had a huge spider superimposed on it. I saw a used Fuji advertised on Fleabay for 18 quid, so I thought I'd take a punt. Received it yesterday, and as far as I can see, it's unused, or at least 'as new'. I'm just waiting for a Fuji/Olympus memory card, as these older cameras had a different card to new cameras.
