Enjoying the respite from the heavy smoke. Yesterday DW & visiting DD drove 45 minutes north, and visited with a friend who has returned to her home after being evacuated, then the four of us went to dinner at a restaurant that none of us had experience with. Enjoyed the meal.
Went to bed around 10pm. I heard thunder and saw lightning flashing through partially open bedroom window blinds, and a noisy downpour started sometime before 3am. I got up and went to the living room... after satisfying myself that there wasn't a lot of thunder/lightning, I went to sleep on the couch until 6.
Anyhow, today started out with DD & I doing a blueberry pick from soaking-wet bushes. Later, a lot was accomplished outside. Also I set up a Chromecast unit, which replaces the AppleTV unit that'd recently become an unsupported (non-functional) model. A slightly tricky process, but finally accomplished.
So far, no reports have come our way of new lightning strikes from the storm in the local forests. But sometimes it can take a day or so until smoke from one or more new fires becomes perceptible.
