Lessee... More leaves.

Oh, and a second cart for yard waste materialized in my front yard. Blue lid instead of the current green lid, but plainly marked for yard waste and the very same way. Tried to call and ask WTF, but got a form to fill out. I hope they can tell me whether it was misdelivered, a replacement, or a second one so I can more easily put out more leaves.

Maybe they were telling me "Dang, you sure are packing this thing. Too heavy for us! Here's a second one but please don't make us lift such heavy loads."

I just hope they don't up the already ridiculous bills. They could have left a note or something.

Got my solar Christmas lights strung. Mot likely I'll have to adjust them once I see them in the dark.

A pretty standard Tuesday. Tai Chi class this morning with a slight different. Out teacher is poorly so I took the class in his absence. Folk seemed to think it went ok :)

Then out for lunch with Mrs Oy. Our favourite cafe has it's Christmas special menu on! That means a focaccia roll with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a jug of gravy. Yummy! I had a walk on the prom and took some photos for a change :) Just about to edit them now.

Only two of the trees are mine. The rest border me on three sides and they are humongously tall.

At least on one border she had 3 giant overgrown pines taken out. A large gingko, gigantic black walnut, and a bunch of redbud are still there and shedding though.

On Google Maps "satellite" view you can barely tell my house is there.

Oh, yes, that is a problem but they do provide shade and privacy.

Too much shade.

It is a struggle to keep grass growing in much of the yard. Moss loves to try to take over.

Over the air TV reception is terrible, a roof antenna no help. Forget about any serious attempt to use solar power. I lucked out for small solar lighting, there is a spot that gets light almost 6 hours a day in the Summer.

I took out 3 trees of my own over the years. I've suggested going in half on removing some trees even though they aren't on my lot, but the neighbors don't want to.
 
Got a reply from the trash haulers who pick up our lawn waste.

Turns out they broke the old cart and the blue one is a replacement, so I have to put the old one out next Tuesday to be picked up.

There is a "lug" that the truck's lift grabs, and they seem to have pulled it out because it is gone. Too bad I already stuffed the old one and I'm to stubborn to transfer the crap into the new cart. Too derned heavy for me to pickup and shake into the new cart and it's too cold out for messing around. They'll just have to dump it manually, driver getting off his butt to help.

@GG,, I think something about my computer was holding my Get Up & go.

I would fall asleep,, drop the mouse & waked up.
OR I'd be asleep & hubby would be laughing at me sleeping.

Oldest son send me recipe for sour cream Apple pie, which the topping had walnuts in it.
I got out my recipe for sour cream apple pie,, compared them.
Asked him do you want me to make that?? he did.

Told him I'd use my recipe & make the topping with walnuts in it.
As long as we had to be out & about ,,my shopping list had grown. ~~$$$~~~

We came home with trunk of car full.

And I'm making Macadamia cookies, later this afternoon.
Know I'll grumble about the 'mickey mouse' hand mixer I bought this Spring.

Will have to make youngest son & the grand daughters,, filled,, brown sugar cookies.
Probably do that Friday.
Expect Saturday to be busy with whatever deer the guys bring home.

Not sure when I'll get back to bore you all with hunting tales or flopped meal mistakes.

That is a lot. We've taken down so many over the years. The last ones that I would like to go are the neighbors trees so what can you do? They plan on moving so they don't care. Besides, they mostly fall on our side. 😒

~Continued the tedious process of registering my songs with ASCAP.

~Spent time on Facebook promoting my album and posting thank you messages for comments about same.

~ Did some personal accounting.

~Put away the refrigerated foods my son brought from Costco. The packaging for items to be refrigerated always get disinfected before we put them in.

It's coming up towards 4.30am... I went to bed at just after 9pm... and the trouble is regardless of how tired I am, if I go to sleep early, my body clock won't allow to sleep very long.. so I was awake at 1.30am.., and I really forced my self to sleep for another hour.. but by 2.30pm I'd had enough...

It's absolutely sleeting out there and pitch dark... great big wet snowflakes....

I just had to go out up to the barn, to turn on the dehumidifier... to stop everything in there getting damp when it rains or snows ... and even in that short walk with my big parka on... I still got pretty wet...

I literally just have been downloading the App...I thoght it would be one that would be useful... however I got as far as installing it, then they sent an email to ''verify it was me''. and I clicked the link, and lo and behold..the royal mail site is down! ..😖
 
Damp and miserable here, although it looks as if it might dry up. I'm off to the opticians for my annual check up. It's a small group of opticians with four practices in the county. Fortunately, one is relatively handy. My eyesight hasn't changed in over 10 years, so I've only bought new glasses when the old ones were damaged or scratched.

I must drop into the potato / logs / coal merchant on the way back. Hope he's still got some left. Many of the farms round here sell potatoes so along with the ones we grow ourselves, we buy very few from the supermarket.
 
@jet I had to Google "tidy my gaff." Now I know.

It's kinda chilly-ish here this morning. 38F. It might be only 60 or so today, but it'll be sunny.

DD is working at her away-from-home job today since tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

I'm gonna make pumpkin pie today. That might be all that gets done. Anticipation of a holiday usually gets me all excited, but this time I'm just not feeling it. Time for an attitude adjustment.
 
It's not yet noon.. and thus far this morning, I've assembled a new ottoman storage box.. and transferred some of the stuff that had been stored in the base of my Ottoman bed..into it . problem is if I put the spare pillows into it, then it leaves no room for anything else.. so I 've had to be a bit crafty the way I've stored things, and yet still be able to access them easily..

there's a lot that now has to be sold or donated, that I would have kept but really losing that huge amount of storage means I have to bite the bullet and let things go..

The soon2bex, has denied, through his lawyers .. all knowledge of his expensive stuff which is still here, plus items that can never be replaced.....and has said I should ''just get rid of it, whatever it is ''... ... well I will now.. and it;ll be too late for him to come crying for it later when he realises exactly what he;s lost...
