I just wasn't feeling it today so no budgeting done for March. I'll do it Tuesday when I have a day off. Maybe.

So what did I do? Nothing. TV. Solitaire.

DD wasn't feeling the cooking thing today so I had an absolutely delicious supper. A very large blueberry muffin. So much for nutrition. Who says it has to be all that healthy stuff? I'm old. I get to eat whatever I darned well please whenever I darned well please.

Toddler GS woke up at 6:15 this morning. I'd gotten up at 5:30 ish and thought I'd have at least an hour and half of quiet time, but it was not to be. He was in a good mood, plus we took a nice long walk before he left late this morning. Rain arrives tonight for a few days. He'll be back 7:30 AM tomorrow (his daycare center is closed on Presidents' Day), so it will be indoor playtime.

We went to an indoor flea market today.
It was heated,, but my feet got cold in my Winter boots.

Was a nice selection of turtle neck , long sleeved L.L Bean tops, $10.
Looked at them thought about , did I want turtle neck tops for everyday wear?

Sorted through some nice handbags,, naa, decided I needed a bigger one.

I even passed up free books.

Got the usual morning call from my BFF to help kick start me with exercising. Our conversation lasted just under a half hour, but I exercised (peddled & EZ Krunch) for just over an hour.

My son and I went to Micro Center to get his new computer. We applied for a their credit card to get 5% off each time we purchase something there. The application process was whack. It's done via smart phone and that system was not user friendly at all, so the salesgirl had to bypass the glitches and finish the app. I can't believe we both got new computers, mine a Dell desktop from Costco and his a Lenovo laptop, for less than what I expected to pay for my computer (had I gotten mine from Micro Center). 🤑

We also spent 90 minutes in the studio, continuing the mix of my dance-exercise track. We've got just a little more to do on that one. I made fish sticks and a couple of waffle fries for dinner. While eating I finished watching the S1 finale of Will Trent (again) and fell asleep almost immediately after.

After a stressful night worrying about the storm, I thought I might feel worse today with the storm still going, but I'm doing better. Found some fun things on Netflix. I'm playing with my Crayola markers. I got a 50 set of super tips. I'm writing some colorful lists with them. One of them is a list I call my Fun list, filled with things that sound fun to me at the moment but I don't have time for them. I hope to go back to them later.

Good Morning Everybody! 22 degrees here right now. Not supposed to warm up much but expecting some sunshine. That helps.

Today I am doing some food preps for the next few days. Some cleaning and will be taking a walk outside to the dumpster no matter what the weather is like. Working on a new blog post and then more organizing of the files and photos on my external hard drives. Hoping for a good day.

Morning breakfast clubbers!!! Rise and shine, times awasting!!!
Oh heck, sleep in if you can, i couldn't !! Got my caretaker coming today to give the house a once over...it needs it...I did

This month is shooting by..in fact the last 2 months have gone by so fast.

Today it's sunny.. but quite windy. The children are off school this week for half term.. so I can hear them playing outside on their bikes....

I just got a nice surprise in the post.. £21 in Tesco card loyalty vouchers. I don't routinely shop at Tesco or buy my fuel there so my return every 3 months is usually only about £7 or £8... so it's nice to get a little bit more than usual.

My son and grandson are coming over today.

I have made an appointment with my PCP for Friday, that's the first he can see me due to my sink problems, which will be cared for on Tuesday. I will not be going to an Emergency Room yet, but feel sufficiently more on top of my health problems than last week.

Living alone adds to my problems in a Big Way. It sometimes feels like a punishment, Living Alone, I mean.

Very rainy overnight. Forecast shows rain continuing through Weds morning - the next storm arrives Sat-Mon. Don't want to sound ungrateful for free water from the sky topping off reservoirs and watering the plants, but would appreciate a bit more of a break between storms. Mother Nature, are you listening?

Hoping areas who dealt with unstable land during the last flooding will not suffer problems again this go-round. @packleader, I'm thinking of you.

TGS should be here in a bit and will stay most of the day. A lesson learned nearly 40 years ago with my own children: when there's a toddler in the house, very little gets done beyond simple meal prep, getting dishes into the dishwasher, wiping up spills, entertaining them, and mostly collapsing during their naptime.

I therefore have few expectations of other accomplishments today.

After all, He'll only be little for a very short time. 💙

Today, my husband and I are off to the big city for my regularly scheduled glaucoma and field vision test. It will use up about 6 hours of our day. It would normally be a somewhat enjoyable day; maybe a visit to a thrift store or two for fun.

But because my 90 year old mom lives with us, it D-day level planning for my husband and I to leave the house.

My brother will have to rearrange his schedule for the day so he can come stay with our mom. I have to have meals, snacks already prepared so my brother can just warm them up. I have to start reminding my mom about the change to her routine as her short term memory is compromised . I have to manage to get myself out of sweat pants and presentable looking.
The whole time we are away we feel under stress to hurry, hurry to get back home.

Young people take for granted going to a medical appointment . Only parents with very young children and older people with physical limitations understand how difficult it can be.

I'm here a bit earlier than usual today. Actually, I've been up, and getting myself ready for a day of adventure, with my Mom. We haven't "terrorized the town" for a while, so I'm excited!

How do I look? ....is my makeup ok?

Very Cute Trila!
I have a day planned to do whatever I want to do- It is 18 degrees here but the Sun is bright and it will warm up this week.
No cooking because there are leftovers from Sunday and actually I do have some 'have tos'- getting garbage in the bin, and some light cleaning, and I might call a friend of mine in New Jersey- we have been friends since Kindergarten.

People up here are anxious for Spring. When I see the local dairy manure wagon go by, I know spring is definitely on it's way.
It is way to early to plow the fields now. There is a horizontal corn meal bunker silo just down the road at a dairy and as spring comes it heats up and you can see the steam from it. I wonder if the fermentation affects the cows.🐂

My morning routine.

At the first crack of dawn, the rooster wakes us up.

At dawn and before sunrise, it’s bonding and cuddling time for the pack. I drink my cup of coffee with fiber stirred in surrounded by my three Boxer pups. They groom each other and lick me to death. I enjoy every minute of it. That’s when I a thank God and my Mom for being granted another beautiful day. Being grateful is a wonderful feeling and gives me strength to carry on.

At sunrise, it’s time to get up and go out in the garden for the pups to do their business. Then comes some exploring, like checking what’s going on in the neighbor’s yard, snacking on some grass, and some playing, like chasing each other around the shed that could also be called “hide and seek.”

Back in the house, my wife has prepared breakfast. I love raw oats with cocoa stirred in and mixed with non-fat milk, an egg, and some fruits, especially a cup full of frozen blueberries from Costco. Then she leaves for work.

OK, now the pups get their first of about 5 treats a day. In the morning, usually a teaspoon full of canned dog food, while their main source of food is a mix of 4 different kinds of dry dog foods in 50 pound bags. Other treats are mostly commercial dog treats and 1/3rd of a hot dog in the evening.

Now it’s time to check online the weather, news, and “Senior Forums.” That takes about an hour, and then it’s time to go on our one-hour morning walk. The pups have a good sense of timing, and are waiting already at the door by that time.

My 3-year old "Heidi" Boxer girl is a sweet darling. I obtained her at 1 1/2 years as a stray and battle-hardened survivor, having plenty of scars all over. But she quickly relaxed in her new home, feeling secure within the pack, and now overwhelms me with her love. I really had good experiences with stray dogs; they do show appreciation for having a permanent home. I have a similar good experience with my 5-year old stray "Otto."

My 95 pound "Ross" had been twice surrendered by previous owners at the time I adopted him at 1 1/2 years from a Boxer rescue place. Previous owners hadn't been able handle this strong-headed dog, but he is now the pride of my pack who wants to attack anyone who gives me a dirty look. I never had such a protective dog. Yes, I have to keep him on a very short chain wrapped around my waist, so he doesn't get me into trouble.

Good bye, see you later alligator. We are on the way out for our morning walk.

I'm home. Tried real hard to stay longer and get more done, but when 10ish rolls around I start getting really worn out. Since I'm not a clock watcher, my Self tells me the time🕙. By 10:30 I check the time, and sure enough, I figure on lasting maybe another 30 minutes. Besides, I'm still exhausted from being left hanging out to dry on Saturday and from working seven days in a row. Three days in a row is a stretch. Next week? Inventory on Monday, so I'll have to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

I'm telling ya, when that EF and my savings get to goal, I'm outta there if I haven't worked my Self to death before reaching them. Save, save, save, save💰💰💰💰 Rocking Chair money hits my account on Wednesday. Woohoo.

It's cold again but supposed to warm up to near 60 this afternoon with plenty of sunshine. On Thursday (another day off!) they're promising 70. Yay! @hawkdon If you don't mind, get up early on Thursday morning and whip up some biscuits and sausage gravy, okay?

Twenty-nine days until spring🌷.

Twenty days until DST.
