Recently, my husband reunited with an ex-colleague from work. I was very happy to hear that they moved back to Florida for their retirement. They live about one hour and a half away from us.
I always enjoyed his and his wife's company. Our children used to play together.
We decided to meet for lunch today. I am looking forward to see them again.

Hoping today will be a burn day, I have alot of yard trash to burn!!

Morning all folks!!! Glad to be here....lousy sleep nite tho....ah well.....No big plans yet, got a small load of laundry done yesterday, still fold it and put away yet.....I spent around one hour yesterday ordering things from my insurance program, I
believe i get 60bucks a month, anyhoo it took forever, the
webpage is poorly designed, so that added to the time...stuff comes from walmart it turns out...so we will see what happens...walmart/usps has already delayed my squirrel food
order this week...and I thought amazon/usps was bad!!!! Love
to everyone,,.,,,have a magnificent day !!!! ;):love::coffee::devilish:

What a dreary day…. Looks like I’m driving into rain as I head west to work this weekend. Got my employee physical and yearly evaluation with the boss today. It will be interesting to see if I can hold out through the afternoon or if I’ll close off the conference room and take a nap on the couch… after all, I am on call tonight.

Y’all have a good day

I'm very sore and more stiff than usual this morning, my daughter came over yesterday and we worked outside, tackled the leaves and roses that needed pruning....more to do today.
Also I'm going to get a new roof, starting soon, so there is that to look forward to.
Everyone have a good day!

We expect temps in the 50s and I plan on cleaning my front porch , that is full of windows-I designed it myself and love it in the spring and summer-but in the winter it becomes a catch all for boxes from amazon and Christmas decor-and recyclables.

It is not very big ( 12 by 15 I think) and not hard to straighten up and then I will watch the movie "Glory", prepare something good to eat and enjoy the rest of this nice Spring-like day because the temps will drop tomorrow.

Pepper, I hope you make out OK with the doctor......and maybe the doc would recommend a specialist- and that is always a good thing------in my opinion. Do you have to drive there yourself?

Well it's past 3pm... it's been hail-stoning all afternoon.... It's stopped now but it's very wet .. and we're forecast for more rain.

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling rough, fingers crossed you all feel better over the weekend..🤞

It's starting to turn colder again here.. I've had to put the heating on for a short time today to take the edge off...

I have no plans to go out today or the rest of the weekend, the forecast is rubbish...

I'm thinking of going to a "Comedy to Conquer Chordoma" event Saturday night. A cancer patient fundraiser:
Come laugh with three of Michigan's finest comedians as we raise funds to aid Megan Scott in her ongoing battle with Chordoma! Performers include Alexa Stanton, Carl Sobel and headliner, Bill Bushart!

A silent auction, raffles, and other activities will also be held throughout the evening.

Dinner/Drinks also available for purchase.
Runs from 7:30 PM to 10:00, and across and out of town so I'll keep myself occupied for about 4 hours and almost ready for bed once I get home at maybe 10:45. I haven't been to a live comedy show in a long time, and it's all in a good cause.

Our quest to buy wallpaper and light fittings was a dismal failure. Poor selections, high prices and poor quality. There are very few specialist shops for these things, only the big DIY sheds. I'll have a look on Amazon and fleabay.

Spent the afternoon doing what work we could in the kitchen. It's coming on well, but the paint has to be totally dry before applying a second coat. Going to cook a Thai style chicken and prawn curry for dinner.

we had the same problem with wallpaper about 10 years ago. B&Q etc.. had poor selections as you say... so we bought online. We were only doing one feature wall in the livingroom.. and so we went online.. the wallpaper at £50 a roll only cost us £100.. but if we'd been doing the whole house it would have been quite a layout...
