Our new lounge suite is being delivered today. That will be fun. I had to take the lounge door off and take the pictures down off the wall to make it possible to get the current sofa in. Hopefully it will not be so hard to take the old suite away and get the new smaller one in. It's a fairly classic style, upholstered in brown leather.

Unfortunately, it's cold and raining today, so I hope the new suite is well protected from the weather.
post pics of kitchen and new furniture?

@hawkdon, your welcome here but it is just beans, roasted red potatoes, cornbread. You will have to have left over peach cobbler for dessert!! Did not make the coleslaw thanks to @hollydolly.

Got the vet appt. done and little girl has a shiney bright super duper pooper now. Thank goodness, she is well.

Brought her home, then straight back out to the mall. @hollydolly talking about all those pretties she got on sale so I thought I would try my luck. Came home with 2 heavy long cardigans, 1 pair of pants, 4 new shirts for next year. Really good deal of $75 for all. Thanks Holly for pushing my shop button!!

I am just worn out now. I got overheated, does anyone turn red all over when they are out and about. I was putting the stuff in the car and noticed my hands and arms were beet red. What the hell is that? Not the first time, I don't feel bad, just flushed the high heaven.
Could be too much salt or MSG.

Oh Hawkie, I'm so sorry. Please don't mess around while your left hand is problematic.... probably caused a sense of imbalance. 🫂

Frustrated with everything I tried to do online today. Needed more info and couldn’t find it. After re-entering info to make a purchase, it kept failing, so I redid it because I thought I’d timed out. Turned out I had to fill out a field about where I found them. The first time entering, it hadn’t been starred as mandatory. I nearly told them what I thought. Another site didn’t recognize me and my password. It was correct. Re-registered.

Then it was time to make the muffins that I’ve had to postpone two days in a row. Had to squeeze this in between walks. I need the fresh air.

Have a better day tomorrow, Jules!

I decided that since my son won't be home this weekend that I would set up my mini washer and spinner and catch up on laundry. When I use that system, I can wash some light, dark and white clothes. Otherwise I would have taken a load of whites downstairs and who knows when I'd get to the other laundry due to us getting a lot of rainy days.

After setting up the machines, I had to take an Uber to my lab appointment. I got there early, got taken in within 5 minutes and thought I'd be getting home in no time. Well, there were complications. My blood took forever to fill the tubes and I have trouble peeing in those small cups, so didn't provide enough of a sample to be tested. The lab tech said that she wasn't sure the blood sample could be tested (forgot why) so asked me to stay until she spun it down to see if it was viable. I asked how long...."about a half an hour".

I had tried to drink enough water before I left the house and also brought a bottle with me, so I decided to finish the bottle and try again with the urine sample. I played games to occupy myself. A bit later (don't think it was a full half hour), she called me in, said the blood was fine and I told her I'd try again. Eureka!!! Success!! I got a sterile container to take home so I can bring the sample with me next time (I had forgotten to do that during my prior visit). I was still back home in good time.

I had three French toast sticks left and a portion of cheese eggs I couldn't finish yesterday. I was starving so I'm glad I had that quick breakfast available. Got three mini washer sized loads done after eating. I've mentioned before that it is a process, so I was tired, thus chilled, watched TV and napped the rest of the day.

Got two tasks done I've been dreading for a couple months. I got up on a really heavy ladder to change an air filter then ran my air conditioner to make sure it was still going. The weather was so bad for months so I wasn't able to do it earlier.

Slept another 7 1/2 hours last night, so I'm not expecting to get much sleep tonight. These tasks will probably have me wired, and I've been sleeping quite a lot lately. I'm anticipating aches and pains tomorrow, so I can rest then.

Very warm, beautiful day. Happy to have gotten those tasks done.

Yes, I do. Always have so its nothing new for me. I think my son does too. Yesterday he was here and his face and neck was all red. I don't even have to be outside just inside and doing things. My hands always get red from holding onto my walker. I try to use a light touch with it but forget sometimes. Don't tell me it means something bad because I'd rather not know.

Son/grandson coming today. Yay. Unfortunately I can barely walk. Going to my leg stent man/cardiologist, on Monday. Since Feb. 9 I have been a complete physical pathetic wreck. I'm so grouchy from this. I yell at cats who only want to love me. Grumpy from all this pain & confusion.

Got CT scan results and a note from my Cardiologist yesterday. Just went over them in more detail. Things seem to look better than was seen in ultrasounds previously, so it looks like this scan was a good thing overall even though I had it because my insurance required it. I'll know more in a month when we meet to go over things.

mini washer & spinner? Can you post a link & picture for that please?
Pepper I've had these machines for 8 years. I believe I paid $80 for the washer back then. It's similar to the Giantex model shown here on Amazon, except mine does not have the spinner. I notice many of the models are washer-spinner combos now. Mine came with a fill hose but there's no way for me to connect it to the faucet in the bathroom, which is where I set up the machines. Plus I honestly think it would take longer to fill the machines using the hose. I use a bucket and hospital size basin to manually fill the machine.
Amazon.com : mini spinner for clothes

The mini spinner in front does a better job than the industrial machines. Although it doesn't completely dry the clothes, it comes damned close if set for the max of 5 minutes (I usually only do 2 minutes). The spinner is from Laundry Alternative (brand also sold on Amazon). I notice their spinner prices are much higher than what I paid, which I think was $70 or $80. The Laundry Alternative
Let me know if you get any of these, okay. :)

Not long in from working in the garden. Throwing old plants away..weeding, planting some new.. Set up some new Solar lights in the borders... as well......MY Back is KILLING me...😣

I also got up on the ladders and cleaned the canopy over the back door.. I like to keep that swept and clean as much as possible so it never gets badly marked.. or stained..and of course it pretty much doesn't get cleaned during the winter months.. but all through the rest of the year I clean it once a week..

Not mine in the pic..but mine is the same..

Grey and grim today...58 F...

Thanks, @OneEyedDiva
Laundry downstairs getting harder & harder
I understand Pepper. I hope you get a system that's easier for you. I was thinking the last time I went downstairs to do laundry that I hope I can be able to do it for several more years. It is less time consuming and I get more done at once (I use double loaders only). But even if I couldn't, I'd still need to be somewhat in good shape to manage doing it in the apartment because that involves bending, twisting and lifting.

However, it would be less so if I only used the bathroom sink to fill the basin (but that would take longer). Either way, it's comforting knowing I have another option besides lugging the clothes and laundry supplies outside and up and down those stairs. There are 3 inside the building, 5 to get to the walkway,.then there's these...
