I made an impromptu decision to go grocery shopping this morning. I was thinking I'd do it as soon as they opened on Sunday, then remembered that's Easter and I don't know if they'll be open. I started straightening up and cleaning in the bedroom. I took a break to eat something and wound up falling asleep. When I woke up around 10:30, my son was ready to go to bed, so I'll have to finish tomorrow. I quickly cleaned the litterbox again and since it's garbage night, got it ready for him to sit out on the street before he retired.

I took stock (pardon the pun) of my investments and updated the Quarterly Values spreadsheet with the number of shares and values for each. Being weird as I am, doing financial things of that nature relaxes me, so I've created a few different financial spreadsheets. Of course I watched TV, played WWF and Cody Cross. Have a lovely weekend everybody.

Good morning, boys and girls. It's gonna be a busy day. Gettiing ready to go out and face the good peeps who are surprised that Easter is tomorrow and saved their shopping until today. Tomorrow? That'll be another busy one. "What? It's Easter? Who knew?"

Thursday was a disappointing day. After several days of working on financial stuff, I got an email that a statement I need won't be completed until the end of next week. That just messed up my plans.

To top it off, my phone battery puffed up. The phone still works, but I'm not using it. I'll have to get another phone soon. I have a phone I use on wifi, but I'll need to replace that phone soon.

I spent Friday recovering from the disappointments. I watched a cheesy rom-com on Thursday night, something I don't usually do, but finding myself needing the fluffy distraction more lately.

The weekend will be spent either in storms or dealing with the neighbors. Dealing with the neighbors is probably worse.

Uh oh. I am headed out this morning to shop for Easter groceries. Mostly ingredients so I should be ok. I have a detailed list!

I am having Easter company for dinner today-and they say it will get up to 50 degrees here but yesterday my outdoor thermometer registered 30 degrees all day and it was a windy and cold day-but at least no more snow---maybe......

I thought maybe the thermometer was broke- but now it says 20 so I guess not.

I am having lamb chops, mashed potatoes, sautéed parsnips, and creamed asparagus on toast and made a marble cake.

Tomorrow after church I will get calls from my family and then make some calls myself. My longest friendship is 78 years old!
We met when we were both 4 years old and could start school as long as we turned 5 by Dec 31st that year.

She like me, has been widowed twice, and then she lost a long term boyfriend, but has another boyfriend and they like to travel.

My travel days are over- it is too much trouble for me, and I LOVE the environment where I live, even though we usually get a lot of snow-
but the snow is beautiful and the road crew does a great job of clearing our country roads.

Sounds like a proper Easter dinner! Yummy!

Sunny and 50F here this morning...into hi 60's I think...very
polleny out there, went out to throw cookies to squirrels and

A rainy weekend here so our family postponed our traditional (outdoor) Easter plans. Since I'm still coughing courtesy of Covid, the delay is jake with me.

Stores were busy yesterday morning, but probably not as crowded as they'll be today. Replenished fresh produce and a few other things. Need to hit Costco soon but nothing overly pressing so will do that next week.

When I left work at 10 the parking lot was already full, and our parking lot is big. As expected, the store was full of people who were surprised that tomorrow is Easter Sunday. LOL

I've been home for more than two hours and just can't get warm. I've even got my fingerless gloves on! It's warm and sunny today so I guess I'll go out and sit in the sun for a bit.

It was my intention to tackle weeds this afternoon. My good intentions took a hike along with my motivation. I don't know where the heck those two got to. I even looked under the bed. Maybe I'll spot them both while I'm sitting in the sun.

I know! When you talk about your husband fixing everything I can relate. He is a craftsman and can't abide shoddy work.
I thought his head was going to blow off when we moved here and painters were painting over dust. The real estate agent had to intervene. 😊
that's one of my husband bigbug bears..so I get it.... (y)

My father's family...grandpa, all the uncles and my dad...were painting contractors. Painting over dust? OMG! And something just as bad is painting over wallpaper.

Well. I've been outside in the sun. My good intentions and motivation were not frolicking among the flowers. I looked around and decided that weeding will get done on Monday. Not tomorrow because dinner is at 1 and after that I won't feel like it again. Monday. Let's hope aforementioned good intentions and motivation turn up by then.

I'm warm now except for my feet. Meine Füße sind immer noch kalt.

Feet finally warm! So warm, in fact, that I took my socks off.

Good intentions and motivation still missing.

I did manage to boil the eggs for deviled eggs for tomorrow's dinner.

Wait! I get up at 2:30. Clock in at work at 4. Work six hours. No wonder I don't feel like weeding or doing much of anything else. I'm old. I'm entitled to be unmotivated. Right?

Had my older granddaughter over today for Easter fun... we've been to the mexican restaurant, watched more of "Mary Poppins" with Julie Andrews (and of course, now she's singing the songs--who wouldn't? =D), looked at photos of family and *attempted* to learn crocheting... HMMMMMM, that might take more than one try, lol.

She also had me laughing when (b/c I mentioned I had tea for breakfast) she said, "Tea... the *posh* version of coffee" =D =D =D
