literal spring chickens.... :D

If anyone knows of a great one that’s easy to use, I’d sure be interested.
Hey Jules, I got in the knife sharpener I ordered from Amazon. The one I got is a Mueller UltraSharp Diamond 4 Stage. It was $9.99 on sale. I believe the regular price was $13.99. I used it on a bunch of my Mother's old knifes and it worked great. I also found a meat cleaver in her stuff so know I have that too!!

Now let's see how long it is before I cut myself LOL.

Spring photies ...my crocus and hyacinths are blooming in the garden as well

Did you mean to put these in this thread HD? Lovely gardens. Oh...never mind...I see you already put these in the Spring ...thread. :)

Today I did more accounting for my son and me. He's co-owner on some of my cards, pays the bills when they come due and each quarter, I credit him with the cashbacks he's earned. I tally what he owes monthly. I got my pension deposit early (thought it was going through on Monday) so I had to make adjustments in my budget projection sheet.

My son and I talked while I refilled three pill cases (one I keep in my purse). I finished cleaning the bedroom and put my socks and turbans away. Still have a couple of T shirts to put away but didn't feel like making room; I'll probably have to reorganize the drawer they go in. Slept a lot again today; wondering if it's my meds. I have been very lazy lately but I do feel good when I get chores done and accomplishing those tasks jogs my consciousness about what else I need to be doing.

The procedure was grueling. I'm not doing well, sorry to say, But at this time I am still trying to get ready for Godzilla X Kong. Family traditions. My son needs me. I will feel so sorry for him when I die.
I'm so sorry you are going through this Pepper! If I could wave a magic wand and make it better, I would. 🤗 Funny you mention the Godzilla & Kong movie. My son was supposed to go see it with his youngest son (19) but the boy cancelled to hang out with his friends, so my son went alone. However, my grandson promised to treat him to the movie next weekend. Apparently it was good enough that he doesn't mind seeing it twice. I told him he's already experienced what some seniors do...being cast aside. But my baby is not quite a senior yet.

It rained all morning which was good. I was hoping the rain would last into the afternoon. It didn't, but the neighbors were still not as noisy as they usually are.

I'm dreading tomorrow, when they normally use Easter as an excuse to get intoxicated.

Tonight is surprisingly quiet. I'm basking in it. Did some journaling and resting with the unexpected silence.

Walmart's delivery service that I'm paying for is broken with a technical glitch. I called Walmart. They said it's affecting a lot of people. No estimate when it will get fixed. Hopefully soon. I bet they're losing a lot of money, not being able to deliver Easter groceries. Maybe it was deliberate on their part to ease some of the Easter deliveries?

Well..I was all set to go out to take some spring photos while so many people are away.. and it's quiet here in the countryside..because the forecast was for sun... but it's 11am , and it's as they say in Scotland.... Dreich ... which means grey gloomy and overcast... so it looks like I may not be going out after all.. .. let's see if the sun comes out soon.

Happy Easter Sunday everyone...

Good morning and Happy Easter !!....55DEG F here this morning but no sunshine, all cloudy and weather weirdo's are calling
for stormy weather, but they been doing that for days now....
My little dish dwarf didn't show up last nite, so you know who
has to take his place!!!! Not much else going on, same pain problems and such as that....I rec'd a new "watch band" from
Amazon yest and put it on my alert button, the original was
velcro based and they wear out in a few months, so I cut the
old on off, and slid this new one in and it works just fine, and
won't wear out so fast....saw the gooses's across the street last eve but they didn't come over to visit.....ah well.....have a great
day all folks!!!! ;):cool::coffee:

Good morning and Happy Easter!
A cool, rainy day here so it'll just be DH & me. A calm, relaxing day.

Yesterday DH dropped by with DGS for a few hours while their dog was at the nearby groomer. TGS spent the day with us Friday, so it was an unexpected pleasure to see him two days in a row. We don't often have time to simply visit with DS and it was absolutely lovely to catch up with him.

Since there was no chaos of other adults or grandkids, DS had a chance to observe the rhythms of our interactions with his son. It seemed to bring him back to his treasured relationship with my mom and the many, many hours he spent with her. ❤️

Today has been since it's grey and overcast and I didn't go out.....a day of this and that... I've got all the laundry washed and the last of it is in the dryer now..the rest has been put away.

I also spent an inordinately long time talking to Paypal.. trying to get a transaction cancelled and my phone number changed .

What a faff. !! It would have been straightforward enough if I could have accessed my account.. but when I tried to log in, it wouldn't accept my password.. so to change the password they wanted to send me an SMS or text to the number they had registered which was the old number.. and regardless of how much I tried to get through to the robot by repeating and typing into my phone the reason for my call.. , it wasn't understanding my dilemma..finally after 10 minutes I was transferred to a real person..in the USA...argggh. goodness knows how much that call cost...:eek:

Anyway eventually it was sorted, the transaction was cancelled ..and my new phone number on record... Phew!

I'm home. Smoked turkey (a Christmas gift from a cousin that we froze) is heating up in the oven. Deviled eggs have been made. Flowers watered. Trash toted to the curb. All I'm going to do for the rest of the day is eat, sit on my dead center, nap, watch TV. Er. No. We didn't freeze the cousin; we froze the turkey.

Tomorrow's a day off. DD and I will be Walmarting, then I'll be weeding. After tomorrow, the weather's going to change to rain, then much cooler temps.

Sir and I decided we now have a little family at work. He's the dad, NL is the mom, I'm the gramma, HR lady's GD is "our" baby girl , to be referred to as BG:ROFLMAO:. Um. She's 18.

Anybody remember me mentioning TL from Texas who rubbed everybody the wrong way, couldn't tell truth if you held a gun to her head, showed up whenever and left whenever? She got moved to the deli but couldn't get along with anybody over there and asked for a transfer to another store down the road a piece.

Well, their deli/bakery manager came by this morning to "borrow" from our deli and from the bakery because she took a day off Friday (the day when we order for Saturday night's warehouse truck), and TL was supposed to place their order. She didn't because order has to be placed by cutoff time of 11am. She turned up late. Oy! Busy, busy day in all the stores today because Kroger is the only store open for miles around, and they are out of just about everything.

Their manager told Sir that TL has been there one week--one--and is already butting heads with everybody around her. So just when I start thinking maybe the problem really is me, I'm proved wrong again! LOL

Besides the kind of work I do and the paycheck that goes along with it, I really like the entertainment value of the place.

Happy Easter to Everyone!

Yesterday, my wife prepared for a family get-together for today. Right now they are all to church aside from myself
who is the only non-Catholic member of the clan. Also my daughter, who lives in China, is missing. Behind the glass
door is our atrium in the center of the house that we designed ourself.

It's actually raining today in the desert-like Southern California. So, no walking with my pups this morning.
But during a break in the rain, I had the pups outside doing their business. (Sorry, the garden needs some work.)
On rainy days, I am using my mini gym for a little bit of an exercise.

In the mid-seventies, we bought our 2 1/2 acre property for $18,000. We immediately divided it into four parcels, had
a housing pad graded for each lot, and each having access to a small creek or spring-fed pond. On one pad, we
had our house built. Recently I gifted the other three parcels to my children because I couldn't handle the work anymore.
