How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

I'ts been a really damp miserable day, so no outside work. We got so fed up, we did some shopping just to get out.

All being well, we're off to Norway next week. I've worked in Finland and briefly visited Sweden, but although it's just a short flight away, we've never gone to Norway. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm strangely nervous about the reliability of the flight. Hope it goes OK.
 

Well I got A call from the Paliative care lady,,,,,Cathy is going
to visit me at 11aM tomorrow....will see what this is all about...on another hand, got two scripts in and they charged
fourty two dollars for each script....last year I was paying only
five dollars for the same script !!!!!!:mad:

Ask them why. Sounds like a mistake.

I have been using a NuWave convection oven for 6 years now and I love it. It is my oven. The stove in my apartment I have not used. In fact, they are taking it out and building a counter top with shelves underneath for my pots, pans & lids (which is what I stored in the oven of the stove). The Magic Chef I ran across on Marketplace yesterday by accident and thought I'd get it because the NuWave is old, it was used when I got it.

Kat, I got my knife sharpener today. Haven't tried it yet. There's a coupon for a free peeler you can redeem over the phone.
 
Where did my day go?

Rain all morning had hubby & I watching clips on Facebook.

Hospital called changed the day I have to go in to April 11.
I would prefer to go in sooner .

Hubby's brother stopped in with some papers to be signed,, finally settling MIL's estate.

No sooner started lunch & another friend stopped in to borrow hubby truck to haul mulch.

Ate lunch , wasn't raining by then.
I decided to try digging some iris roots.

Had gathered the tools ,, when we got a call the rings had been resized.
Off we went to get them.

The ring I normally wear was still a bit tight.
The antique wedding band fit,, asked hubby if he mined if I wore that one.

Once back home dug up the iris,, then couldn't decide where to plant them.

Put them in a box with hopes of a drier day to plant them.

~Danced while loading the dishwasher and cleaning up the kitchen
~I emptied the litter box and washed it. Then swept the bathroom floor.

~Gave Deja a “mani-pedi”, sans the nail polish, of course. 😺 I had to bribe her with a lickable treat. Thank goodness for my son, who is a big help, since he holds her still.

~I looked at the clock shortly after we finished. It was 3:30 but I swear it seemed like it should be 6:30 or 7:00 o’clock. Have you ever had days that dragged on like that?

A day of technical issues. The Walmart delivery schedule piece seems to be working at the moment, although it was up and down yesterday. It's good that it's working today. My printer is not working today. It's very fickle and has been since the start. I'm hoping it works, but if it doesn't, I'll have to go to plan B.

My neighbor was outside again this morning. He goes out in his yard, the farthest from his house, talking to someone for a few minutes between 10:30 and 11:30 am every morning. Then he goes back into his house and blasts music for the rest of the day. Nothing shady there. /s

I was a bit frazzled from the technical issues, so I'm on a short break. Back at it later.
 
So that is how good housewives do it - they clean and put away as they go! - all day long - sometimes trying to whistle a tune? - I am amazed at how one person can mess up a one bedroomed flat so regularly and I used to be so tidy once!! Mind you I do have a big dog and he leaves either dry or wet big hoof marks all over the linoleum? Still shopping tomorrow - chaffeur driven who likes to play loud rock and roll music or todays equivalent - why talk to the oldies heh? just get em in and get em out!! but it is good fun and we do go from the top of town to the bottom whizzing along!!

Sir is only there until 9 today, then I'm alone until 10. Should be an interesting day...

We didn't get thunderstorms last night and no tornados. So much for the weather forecast.
 
Rain and snow predicted here in NY until Sunday- where is Spring?

I am gathering my IRS stuff for my tax person today, and paying my bills-and waiting for my new Vacuum cleaner to arrive from Amazon.

Makes me think of the old Roseanne Barr show- her husband swiped her wedding ring so he would get the right size for a new ,and nicer ring to surprise her ,for their anniversary.

Roseanne and her sister searched all over the place for the ring and then her sister said 'wait a minute' ...'have you checked your vacuum cleaner bag?'

And Roseanne promptly said "Now how in the Hell would it get in there?"
 
Morning folks....42f here this morning, slept fairly well, just not
as long as I would like...ah well....the Palliative care rep is coming at 11am today, so should square myself up and get ready for
lotsa questions I imagine......saw my goose's across the street yesterday, but didn't come close...lol...this copd issue is kicking

Can you believe?... I was out yesterday..hospital, garden centre, and then the supermarket on the way home.. and completely forgot to collect my new cordless Drill from the supermarket collection hub where the Argos store sent it... what a numpty I am... :rolleyes:....

They only hold it for a few days .. so I'm going to have to go back again either today or tomorrow.. and today it's raining and windy , so I don't feel much like going now..

I left early because. Because I felt whiny this morning. And because I didn't want @jet and @hollydolly to leave me behind. It looks like they did anyway:mad::( Fine. Next time I go somewhere interesting, I'll leave them behind. Like when I take the trash to the curb. Or go to the garden center.

The big storm that was supposed to happen might have happened, just not here. It's cold and cloudy, though.

listen ...madame Gigi..you're not the only one left behind...that @jet is full of empty promises.. he didn't stop by to pick me up either. I'm stranded on the side of the road with my luggage and no money to get home...and all my holiday dreams in tatters... so if you don't allow me to accompany you to the trash .. I'm not going anywhere fun this year...😭

Welp, the Rep from paliative care showed up...nice looking
lady, asked a bunch of questions, and decided she fells I
would benefit from nurse visits ever so often, maybe 2 times
a week...they re-evaluate after 6 weeks to see if I would still
need the service...so will see what happens.....sunny and 42f outside now, breezy too.....:devilish:
