Last night we had wind & rain, lots of rain.
This morning had to follow hubby as he took his truck to a garage.
Lot of the ditches along the roads were overflowing.

We made a quick stop to see some old friends,, they were getting ready to go to a doctor.

Home & made a light meal for us.
Some work clothes are in the washer.

Played with Mac who is taking a short nap.

Hubby watching TV.

Not sure what I'll get into next.

Well, thanks a lot Silverfox, you sent it my way...ha...ha...

Up most of the night. Louie 🐈 likes to knead my right arm at night & lick inner elbow. He thinks I'm his mommy. Only this night, being on extra blood thinners, caused some damage and I finally got up for better or worse at 3 am.

There is always a reason I can't sleep the early hours of this day. My mind always reverts to being in labor (44) years ago. I remember every detail, every last one, from picking up my final paycheck before maternity leave ("We were all betting you'd give birth in the office!") to meeting my best friend.❤️

@debodun Sorry that your April showers are sNOw showers and not rain. Wonder what that means for May flowers:unsure:

I was gonna complain (again) about how cold and windy it is here, might not even get to 60F today. I need to be grateful that it's sunny instead of sNOwy. However...that doesn't mean that I'll be playing the garden today;)

Step right up, folks! Place your bets here!
Will Trila actually get her bridge today, or not?!!!
Place your bets!
You could be the big winner! Step right up!

Yup.....I'm heading out to the Dentist for my new bridge. AGAIN! 🙃

got to call the lawn guy soon...FEEL pretty good except for
the copd today, dunno but maybe I'll end up on oxy before
long....don't like the idea of it....Lot of excitement around here
over failure of special tax for stadium for football/baseball
did NOT pass, and local city I'm in turned down request for
more taxes for local projects that are not necessity.,,,,,,people
are in enuff stress over rent/grocery prices, new taxes are not
the answer right now.....okay enuff of me....have a great day.l...

Positives...
>> Got the candles in the fireplace (fall/winter decor) switched out for the terracotta pot I use in the warm months
>>Vacuumed living room and inside of fireplace
>>Gathered some stuff to take to Good Will
>>Granola baking now
>>I have food and a roof over my head; I can breath, smell, touch, walk, hear and taste...

Not-so-positives....
>>have to purchase new mailbox (not sure what it will involve, if I have to get post that holds it replaced); mine got knocked off yesterday somehow
>>Still no joy trying to get this lab bill sorted... looks like I'm stuck with it =(

BUT... I am loved, cared for, supported by my faith/family and Life Is Beautiful! :giggle:

Maggiecat made me get up at 3am.
I'm a member of that same club: woke at 3:15 this morning and couldn't fall back asleep, took part of an OTC sleeping pill but was still awake at 4:15 so took another little bite and nodded off around 4:30 and slept till 7:30.

It's not that I hate getting up early, it's that only 5 hours of sleep leaves me fuzzy-brained and hollow-bodied most of the next day.

Doctor appointment this morning - just a gyno checkup. A couple of my friends developed ovarian cancer in their 60s & 70s so I decided to get an exam. Thinking of stopping at a dollar store on the way home to take care of a few things on my list.
