I just asked them what they could do to lower the cost. I asked if there was a promotion available. They checked and found the $20 promotion. I'll call back in three months and see if there is something else available. It's one of those things you have to keep calling about. Ask to speak with the retention department. They seem to have the most pull when it comes to offering discounts.
 

Well...another glorious sunny hot day... I didn't stay home because either I'm a fibber..or the sun attracts me like a moth to a flame... actually the latter is true.:D

I got some gardening done this morning, flowers are looking beautiful, and I put now cushions on the wooden patio chairs... then this afternoon, I took myself off to a town about 10 miles from here to the nearest car wash... that done, I noticed that the circus was in town so I had a little peep.. no-one there because it was the middle of the day but I got some distance photos..

Walked this AM, took part in monthly mystery book club and now I’m home eating lunch under the trees and enjoying the breeze. But I hear thunder in the distance and given that this is the current radar, I’m going to have to get the lawn chairs, etc, in under the shelter in a few minutes

Planing on fencing them to keep the deer out.

Hubby wants them in the planting box we made out an old shower stall.
He's a tad too busy now so,, I think my plan can slip through. ;)

We used to get some thistle in one of our veg-gardening areas. Yeah, I dug them out... but there weren't so very many, and after a year or two didn't see any more. What some gardeners in my area do is dig out a tough 'weed' so as to cut if off below soil level, and follow that by spot-pouring some pickling vinegar there. It would not be a cost effective mass treatment, but if you can buy p.v. fairly inexpensively, it might be worth a try with your thistles.

In any case, good luck with ridding your garden of it.👍

His wife just called me after they came out and gave her a update.....he's at about the 1/2 point and so far so good.
 
I took delivery of some new plants a little while ago... it's 7.20pm now so they'll wait until tomorrow to get planted...

3 x Salvia Hot lips ( these will grow to be evergreen bushy plants ) with pink flowers...

This morning on my early walk temp was around 50 as I went to buy local paper
My mid morn walk went to local co op store bought a couple of items. This afternoon after my lunch& nap walked around apt complex a couple times, then sat in our community garden with 2 other residents until it became cloudy looked like it was going to rain
Marcia called me about half hour ago, her # came up to report for jury duty tomorrow morning ,she doesn't know how long she will be gone.I'll stroll over to the house around 8:30 to dog sit with my buddy boy, Tage and of course bring his favorite lunch, tuna fish,petite carrots,apple A perfect way to end my week
 
My day was nothing special. Quiet. I didn't really do much. Wrote another blog post. Edited photos. Sonny & I was researching how to fix my mobility chair's controller. My brother called me and we talked a bit.
