How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

Besides doing laundry, I decided it was a good day to clean out my desk. Foolishly, I thought it wouldn’t take long. I’m still on the first drawer. I have to examine every thing and try and convince myself I don’t need it.

How many rulers do you think one person needs? Some of these are wood &/or advertising for some company that is long gone. I can’t recall using one, since they went into the drawer. I gave up three.

I told my husband that we should have an office box that holds things we think we need. Just set it aside and tell the kids to not even bother checking the contents. Just donate it when the time comes.

Now home and trying to stay awake... it's a drippy, drizzley, dreary day. I believe the word on the other side of the Pond is dreich.

Good to have nice people to work with, that's 3/4's of the battle in any job...

yes Dreich is the Scottish word for a dreary drab day... as you so rightly say...
 
Better than last year even though the weather was bad for 2 of the days. Strange, but no matter how much I sell, it seems like there's just as much when I pack up. I think the boxes are multiplying! I thought I had it all the packing and stowing done this morning and I came back upstairs and there's 5 more boxes in the living room!
What doesn't sell - glassware, most ceramics, furniture, knickknacks, radios, framed pictures. What did sell well were plants, small tools and baskets.
 
Well, darn. It's bedtime again. At least it's overcast and rainy so it'll be sort of dark. When I asked y'all to keep it down the other night, nobody paid any attention. Take pity. 2:30 gets here real early, and if it's as noisy as it was on Saturday night, I'm gonna be real noisy when I get up. That'll show ya. If I have to get up, y'all can get up, too.

I would like to have yard sale this Summer.
Was planning on putting the loveseat out ,,trying to downsize.

Maybe I'll have my husband bring up the tractors we couldn't sell last year.

Our youngest son is having the pleasure of helping down size his wife's mother's house.

He wants to build a garage with MIL suit over head.
 
What a beautiful day here. The high was 68, sunny with gentle breezes.

Ran to the store for a few things; naan, baby cucumbers, heavy cream, cilantro, milk, whole wheat bread, watermelon and fresh pineapple spears.

My GGS has grown, smiles so sweetly and tries to join in the conversation with his babble I got to hold him and talk with him quite a lot, while the kids cleaned up.

Doggie Delight likes the baby. She sniffed all around him on the blanket and laid down beside him .

It was a great day for me.
 
Slept for 11 1/2 hours then had a quiet day.

Last night, I gave more information to Google about a Google Play card that wouldn't work. I hope to get that credit back.

Started watching a Hallmark movie called The Dancing Detective. The acting was so bad that I'm wondering if they do that on purpose. Still, it's a nice chill movie.

Found out that my favorite coloring and puzzle app can be played offline. Happy about that.

Shopping day today. It's not something I enjoy, but not all the stores offer delivery and when it comes to food, I prefer to choose it myself - and look for special offers. Weather is a bit dull, but warm and dry. Most of the planting and gardening has been done for the time being, so it's mainly just watering and a bit of maintenance.

I'm still an in store shopper but I'm glad delivery is available if needed.

I love to hate some of the Hallmark movies. Sometimes Ill watch while cooking, especially at the holidays. DH might walk in and get hooked. He's a sucker for them.
 
On my early walk at 6:20 temps was 60 as I went to buy today's NYT
Sun afternoon, I made an online appt with I Got Junk they'll be coming this morning between 8-10am. I have 7 items to get rid of. The 1st time the guys were here was beginning of April, very nice were done within 1/2hr
Around 11;30 I'll be strolling over to Marcia&Dave's house to dog sit my buddy boy,' Tage for a couple of hrs while Marcia is at church for lunch/ our monthly adult program' Passages' I don't know how more times I'll be able to dog sit with Tage until I move. Any opportunity I get I'll take advantage of
 
I just tried to talk to the geese's and they paid me absolutely
no attention, guess I'm not a goose whisperer.....but here I am
regardless...a bit cooler today but whatever...still raining when i got up at 5am...lotsa joint pain today oh well...still got the
laundry to do ....news says the Red Lobster rest's are closing in
a lot of area's....would love to have lobster and shrimp one more time...there was a time that all-you-can-eat Shrimp was a big
thing on friday nites in the area, but no more...catch you later....;)
 
I must arrange for AccessARide for tomorrow. Even with the long break I had from them, dealing with them fills me with dread. I didn't share my awful experiences from last week. They always do something terrible. Always. This is my life's biggest obstacle. Amazing how small my life has become.

Sorry about your joint pain, hawkdon. Maybe sometime, someone can deliver you a Red Lobster meal. There is only one Red Lobster in my area. It keeps holding on...not closed yet.
