Well some sleuthing has been carried out on my behalf by my very smart DD...She took the documents he supplied for my viewing, and put them into an order which is better understood compared to how they were uploaded, and discovered that he's..surprise, surprise..... trying to pull the wool right over my eyes.. . Not going to go into detail here but Jeez.. he's a slippery character..I have to give him minus 10 points for not remembering that I always find him out at whatever he trying to do to deceive...

So..I've just gone through them all.. and I'm too tired to upload to the portal with explanations for my lawyer.. ( I need a clear head)..it's past 9pm now.. so I will view them all again, and write all the necessary descriptions and anomalies, and upload them in the morning before I go to Physio.. ..My DD despite being very busy herself, took the time to do this for me... such a Hero...

Then I went and mowed the lawns and trimmed the hedges..

and ... while I was on the phone talking to my DD and she was explaining the intricacies of what she's discovered.. the doorbell rang...and standing on the doorstep when I opened the door was the 9 year old from next door and her 2 year old sister... and she was holding a Magnum ice-cream, which she handed to me saying.. Daddy, sister, and me thought you might like some ice cream after all your hard work in the garden... 🧡

Now how cute was all that? .. just when you think everything is against you... god sends a sign to say it isn't...💞

I've been continuing the seemingly unending task of decluttering my house. I don't think I have a lot of stuff but there always seems to be an assortment of things that I can donate to a local charity. I took a trunk-load to them today. They are always polite and grateful. They check the items then price them and put them in their shop. The sales proceeds are then donated to food banks and to a small medical clinic that provides services to the uninsured and under-insured.

The transition kindergarten class is over, and now our grandson is visiting us again once a week.

Exploring my drawers till he finds my peppermints ... He already learnt how to write his name

I know exactly what you mean, unending.
I found a donation thrift store that helps, amongst other things, the hard of hearing. That's right up my alley so that's where all my
donations go now.

Today became a little stressful. I've got firewood to stack, a deck around 2/3 of the house to renovate/rebuild, food gardens to cultivate, plus routine indoor chores. And now a yearling bear has started making forays in here. He's still lightweight enough, and agile, so he can climb our existing fencing. Chased him out three times.

So I've got to organize the upgrading of our electric-fence system... planning, sourcing the most cost-effective supplies, then finding time to do the physical work.

@JBR,, Can you mount a water sprinkler on a pole set to go off when something gets in front of it?

Someone we know blew up a balloon, coated it with honey & hung close to electric fencing.
Yes, in my neighborhood there is a similar practice. Hang cheap cans of sardines on the fence wire, or aluminum foil with peanut butter on it. The animal learns there's a serious barrier there. Sends a message without actually harming.

The situation is difficult to verbally describe... suffice to say it's that we now need to put some fence strands up in a couple places without any at present. But since it will take a while to accomplish that, I'm trying something tonight. The bear has been coming to one of our raised beds, the one that has lettuce in it, and he's eaten 3/4 of them in the wee hours. So I put a cauliflower head that had been going bad atop a small flower pot and laced its surface with 'Spiracha HOT Chili Sauce', and placed that in this raised bed. So I'll have a look in the morning.

It's almost 2am... I went to bed at 10.30pm... fell asleep immediately... then woke up exactly 2 hours later, couldn't get back to sleep. I got up at 12.30, and took a sleeping pill.. and straight back to bed. another hour later at 1.30m..I gave it all up as a bad job, and got up and made tea and toast..
And are you still up?

It's time for me to go attack the 🥐 market. Today is Juneteenth, and Sir has a day off. I'll be alone. Sigh. I wonder if Cookie showed up yesterday or if she took her scheduled day off (as opposed to not showing up on her unscheduled day off)?

Sounds like my sleep pattern lately. Ugh, it's awful. It's not healthy for us, we better get a grip here before we hurt our health.

We are still under a heat advisory today. My plan is to stay inside my apartment unless something comes up. I have some phone calls to make. Yesterday the visiting nurse gave me information on setting up transportation to my medical (and dental) appointments. So that is my project for today.

I hope you all have a nice day!

went back to bed about 4.15am.. then had weird dreams... it's now 10.50am, and I'm just having a cuppa tea before I go off for physiotherapy... for my knees...

Semi overcast/sunny..little bit of sun..temps at around 68 for today...

Have a good day everybody..(y)

Gonna be a hot day here. Have various chores to do, inside & outside. I love this weather, I thrive. Hot, not over 100, but Hot........I'm drinking it in. Even though it was a moderate winter, it was hard for me. I couldn't use my SAD Lamp because the kittens 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 were too wild, but they are getting calmer, and I believe I will be able to use it again this winter. Ugh. Winter. Dark, gloomy winter.

We had a wonderful day yseterday. Up at 4am then Taxi to the railway station for a 'Midland Pullman' excution way up to Oban in Scotland. Fantastic scenery, a couple of hours in Oban to have a miich about (and local Fish & Chips) then the long haul baxk - getting back the the station just before midnight. The train was superb, a late 70s 'HST' set restored and fitted out in first class leather recliners etc. First class carriages and great service from the crew. Lots of complimentary bubbly stuff and snacks too. I'll post some photos in that forum but for now - here's a small sample off my iPhone.

Your Mrs. is lovely @-Oy- :)
I envy you that train trip .. what a beautiful machine.

Sigh…. I could have sworn the last time I was at the tire place they told me they didn’t take appointments…. So I arrived well ahead of anyone else, only to find out others did have an appointment and they would have to work me in. 🙄. Oh well.

As long as I’m outta here in time for my chiropractor appt. The rest of the day is open.

Well more awake now than earlier, I think....last eve a person
in a black newish looking car took advantage of the empty lot
next to cemetery and practiced the side show probably before
going to find one somehwere...did many circles in the fresh cut
grass before leaving.....stupid...
Got the meals on wheels welcome letter and menu yesterday in the mail....also return label for those pants, now i can get them in the mail later today maybe....it is cloudy today, got a bit of
rain earlier but no more...hard to use the opposite hand it seems, but I am trying.....catch u all later on.....;):p:geek:

A beautiful morning after some miserable days. Although it was nice outside, we made a batch of chicken and ham pies which are now being frozen. A few more things to buy before younger daughter comes up at the weekend. Thankfully, the weather is predicted to improve and be more like June than February. We've got a free guest ticket for any National Trust property, so we'll so to either a castle or a formal garden one day.

We had rain last night, about 7 o,clock.

Didn't have to water the plants,, today's forecast looks like more rain this evening.

Watched a young doe eating apples off the trees, last night.
That is good,,it takes the weight of larger apples off the branch.

Keep checking the blue berries,, so far it looks like all the bushes are bearing berries.

Hubby & helper are checking out the truck,, hubby thought the brakes felt springy.
He had lot of hills the travel delivering the firewood.
