If you suffer from HSD--horizontal surface disease--it won't take long to clutter it back up

HSD seems to be a problem of mine. Or maybe not mine. Maybe there are gremlins who come in the night and clutter up the countertops, top of the bookshelves, etc...
It's cooler today and not going to hit 90. 89 is "cooler"? Gotta go water the flowers and do stuff in the garden. When that's done, I'm gonna sit around on my dead center and play solitaire. ETA: I was gonna blow some leaves, but DD said the blower died and probably wants a new spark plug. That's fine. My motivation was last seen somewhere in Scotland...maybe not Scotland, somewhere that starts with an "S." If you happen to see it anywhere, please don't send it home.
Cookie was scheduled to work yesterday. We can't figure out if she even showed up because Sir left when inventory was done around 9, and NL was only scheduled until 1. Cookie was supposed to work from 3:30-7, but there weren't any cookies baked, no cookies put out on the shelves and tables, but...the trash and cardboard were gone. Hm. I'm thinking one of the folks from deli took it with theirs. Because? Nothing else was done. WTH?
She's scheduled off today. Go figure. Sir said he'd do cookies today because we're woefully low on cookies. There's a new "sheriff" in town (new assistant store manager) who takes no prisoners when it's time to call out those who aren't doing their jobs. Sir has asked him to have a "word" with Cookie. Doubt that it will help one iota. As long as g'mother is there, Cookie is golden and doesn't have to do anything. I've said before that g'mother wanted her to have a job, not that
she wanted a job
