Today was the busiest day I’ve had in almost a week. I’d been feeling like a lazybones the last few days. I….
~Loaded the dishwasher twice and ran it once. Leaving the other load for tomorrow morning.
~ Scooped the litter box and got the garbage ready for my son to set on the curb on his way to work.
~ Swept, Swiffered and wet Swiffered the kitchen and bathroom floors

~ Balanced my checkbooks.
~ Made chili in the crockpot. Perfect timing. I took an unplanned nap and when I woke up, it was done in time for lunch.
~Put away the groceries my son brought from Costco this afternoon.
~Refilled my pill cases. We took that time to catch up on some things we wanted to talk about.

Had a walk to a nearby store this morning to pick up a few items. In the afternoon, realized I needed more food so drove to a large store. A few seems to equal $100.

When walking alongside a path divided by a chain link fence, the little kid (5 or 6) in the playground yelled out to me that he loved my hat. And then he said he loved by sunglasses. Honestly, they’re really hideous, fitover glasses. Probably unique to him. My baseball cap is glittery, so I appreciated his compliment. A little thing really does make your day better.

Feeling weak & dizzy this morning. Had apple juice box cause it feels like low, very low, blood sugar. Will test blood in a little while, take my plethora of meds and will hopefully eventually feel better.

Had woken up after midnight, but managed to sleep till 4:30

A phone call from work, "the s**t has hit the fan, can you get in?" Nowadays work is not a kind of nine to five affair, it's more of a helping hand when they are overloaded.
Hopefully I can get out of the drive. We have scaffolders erecting scaffolding all around the house. The roof tiles are to be steam cleaned and the house walls painted. The property is being prepared for sale, we are having what the agents describe as, "kerb appeal."
Later this evening the old MG will need a good clean and spruce up, ready for the weekend where the car will be one of the chosen classics at The Shake & Stir Festival. The weather looks like the sunshine will last, altogether a good weekend promised.

Glorious Sunny hot day today... I'm frustrated that I can't get out, but the plants that I bought last month, Jasmine etc.. I planted some in a 1/2 barrel planter..and now they've grown almost 12 inches , so if I can today I'm going to have to find somewhere to plant them in the ground. Only problem is the only ground area where I have space is covered in a thick weed membrane, which I had to cut back last month for the first half of the plants I planted.

It was quite a hard job and painful on my back, so I'm eager to not have to do that again... so I'll have a look around and see if there's any spot where it would be free of membrane ..I'm thinking right at the back where the Cherry Laurel is, but I'm not sure it gets enough sun there...

...decisions, decisions..

You're moving?

I'm deciding what to do today. I thought to myself last night that I should do things that make me happy everyday.
It gives me motivation to get the chores done early although some of the chores make me happy!
DH took his truck for service before I got up. I'm happy in the quiet drinking coffee.

Good morning folks....I'm here but not all "there"....woke too
early, about 330am....so kinda foggy in the head again...so what
else is new LOL...anyhoo it is 75out side and going into mid 90's today, slight chance of rain....dunno yet what I will be up to today, pain in hands about the same, bad, got a couple bills to
pay, dishes of course, I'm getting lazier and lazier these days...
back is hurting this morning...oh had another "sideshow" last eve across the street, stupid guy driving around and around, this time tho a passenger was hanging outside the window of the car....called the law, but they dissapeared, maybe he has
a scanner in his car....crazy world...catch u later....;):giggle:

Good morning. Maggiecat wanted her breakfast at 4. I got up, fed her and went back to bed. That's the second time in about a week I've done that.

Had coffee on the teeny tiny patio, then decided that the lawn is so parched that if it doesn't get water yesterday, it may very well die. Turned on the sprinkler. I hope an hour is long enough...if it puddles, I'll know the ground is already too hard for it to soak, in which case I'll turn it off and wait until it does before turning it back on.

There are other things to do in the garden because I sat around on my dead center after work yesterday and didn't even deadhead anything. Oops. That's no way to keep the flowers blooming.

S'pose I should get dressed before doing anything else.

I'm going to start referring to chores as events like @hearlady;)

Holly is right, we do have a lovely house, but the daily maintenance has become a bit more than tedious. Nearly thirty years ago when we moved in we could zap through it with the vacuum cleaner, duster and polish, now it's become a military exercise. Such is life!
yes I find the same here HC... so I empathise. I mean I get everything done..unlike you i don't have cleaner or a gardener.. so it's a lot for one person here.. but because I don't have anyone else to please I do it in my own time.

Poorly back & knees etc, make these chores painful, so they all have to be done as quickly as I can do them...and I do well I think considering.. my garden for example is the neatest and and best looking in the road.. where there are already nice gardens..

My house is clean and tidy... I try not to make much mess so I don't have to clean it ..:D..but jobs like Vacc'ing the stairs are quite difficult, so I use a hand held vac upstairs and down on a daily basis , and then just give those areas a good once over with the heavy duty Miele..once a mont..

..but I understand where you're coming from...

I was awaken this morning around 4, heard thunder, looked out my bedrm window, it was pouring I went back to sleep until 6 My early walk at 6:30,temp was 70,cloudy not humid for a change, went 2 blocks to buy local paper&some OJ
Yesterday, my real estate agent, Patrick listed my co op apt for sale.My hope it will sell before Aug,that's my anniv month when I bought it 36 yrs ago I still have to pay monthly fee until it does
When I've been going to lunch lately, I'm either sitting alone or other residents joined me. I know most of them by name now.,always say'Hi' They ask how I'm adjusting, I tell them 'I love living here,staff/ residents have been very welcoming& helpful, food is really good'

@hollydolly What I did back in the day when I was a cleaning fairy, I found using a whisk broom on stairs was easier than hauling a vacuum and down the stairs. I mean, you're gonna start at the top, right? By the time you get to the bottom, you've got 'em clean and the baseboards, too. A handheld vac also does the job.

This was really a good move for you Sue. I'm glad you're so happy there!

🚗 Here is the current status on tires:
We did not call a head yesterday, but just went into town and started out with going to the closest tire shop, then moving on. One by one, everyone was out of the size we needed. We ended up with having to go all the way to Wal-Mart for the tires, but....

Just as we were turning into the street to Wal-Mart's parking lot, I saw a new sign (on the other side of the road) that said "Discount Tires". We went there instead. Doi got 2 tires (with mounting and balancing) for a very good price. These guys were much more professional than Wal-Mart, and they were done so fast that I hadn't even finished my coffee!!

Today, we are going back for the other 2 tires, this way everything will match and they will wear evenly.

I was sitting here having my coffee this morning, and Goob was being a total pest at the door. (he usually isn't, he just plays with his toys.) So I've just come in from taking Goober for a walk. We don't go far, yet, since I don't want to encourage him to race off into the woods. But I stay in the areas that he already knows. Part of our walks go along the edge of the woods. He loves racing along, climbing trees, etc. Now he is content, and playing on the porch.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

I'm glad I don't have stairs!

On another note:
I bought some bread when the little boy was here. I'm looking at the package and it's a white bread made with whole grain. Ok.
But, why does it have the Whole Grain Stamp?
It has whole grain all over the package. Well, I know it's just a Sara Lee store bread lesser than some of the evils, however, I thought the Whole Grain Stamp meant first ingredient would be 100% whole wheat.

Well, you learn something new everyday.
There are grades of whole grains. Now everyone can play!
But, how many people know this? I guess lesser of evils is better and who looks at that stamp anyway?

Now you know.Your Welcome. 😁 BTW This bread has nine grams so they've updated to include more.
