Good Morning folks!!! It is hot to start the day 76 deg F, and
going into high 90's later, humid as heck also, so breathing is
difficult at times....got my new flipphone in yesterday so got
to read 200page instrction manual!!! I think I'll have the Alexa
assistant installed too, if it is free, that way won't have to
use the arthritic fingers so much....there is a big funeral for
today across the street, local firefighter died while in line of
duty, he had cancer, but anyway the cops came by and said
all should avoid street parking so crowds for funereal can
park on my street....not going anywhere for anything in this
heat......catch u later on......:cool::p:coffee::coffee::love:

Just finished breakfast. A hot pocket ham, cheese and egg. Not too bad, very tasty. On 2nd cup of coffee now.
Instacart is shopping for our groceries right now and will deliver within the hour. Not much else planned until this heat gets down into the 80s again..
Got the carport chairs moved around so I can get my car out of the sun. It’s a wonder a window hasn’t blown out it’s so hot in the car.
That’s my day so far. Pappy

Got out walking while still cool, about 66 F. Stopped and sat on a park bench looking out over the lake. Ate my "breakfast" of 5 saltine crackers, two small pieces of soft beef jerky, 4 grape tomatoes, two plump prunes. Walked back home, took my pills, put the solar trickle charger on the car battery, got the mower and trimmer out and ready. In a bit I'll go finish up the back yard.

Well, I've discovered that I am officially out of electrric sockets!!!
So no more buying anything electric, unless I throw something
else out.....seriously, this 70yo house has limited "juice" so I
do not have any new sockets....there goes my electric recliner :(

I’d throw something else out. Those electric recliners are nice. The lift ones can be especially helpful.

Plug adaptors ? Multi gang sockets ?

@Pappy My objection to Hot Pockets is the ratio of filling to crust or bread or whatever it's called. The filling is good, but there's too much crust.

And...you know to crack two windows in your car even when it's not in the sun, right? Unless it's raining, of course.

Just when I was on a roll in the garden it got way too hot to stay out there. It was already 85 at 10am, but at least it's not very humid yet. I'll get out again early tomorrow. Eventually it'll be done so that I can start over ;).

@hawkdon Stay inside and outta the heat!

@hollydolly Imagine in the space of your living room...a bedroom, a sitting room, full (but ever so tiny!) kitchen. I didn't count the bath in the square footage because it was already there when my brother built this place. Oh...and a walk-in closet. That's small, too, but it counts as a walk-in because I can walk into it. I have to step outside to change my mind and dare not fart or it would ricochet off the walls and suffocate me!:ROFLMAO:

As much as I "complain" about it, it suits Maggie and me just fine. Would I change anything? Yup. I'd add an enclosed four-season porch and spend most of my daylight hours out there admiring the garden and watching the birds.

Oh I can easily imagine it. When I was a kid, 1/2 the population lived in old slum tenements..my Aunt & Uncle were 2 of them after they'd recently got married,. and houses were hard to come by while the country was still trying to rebuild after the war. It was one room...about 12x12.. with an alcove for their bed on one wall.. very similar to this...

OMG! Talk me down! I've fallen down the recipe rabbit hole and have been reading recipes online. I gained 25 lbs just reading them. It's a good thing that I've saved my size 6 and size 8 jeans.

I don't usually get like this unless I'm hungry, but I'm not hungry. Lemon Cream Cheese Dump Cake, the easiest recipe I've ever seen for Swedish Meatballs, the list goes on. And on. And on.

Maybe there's a 12-step group I could join :ROFLMAO:

We need cooler weather so that I'm out in the garden instead of sitting here with the laptop.

Back yard mowed, string trimming done. Sunny, 80 F headed toward 86. All set now for the heat wave and storms ramping up starting tomorrow. Slapped plenty of skeeters, can't imagine how bad it'll get after several days of high heat and humidity and damp. More breeze would help tame them.

Got a call, parts came in for a recall repair replacing my car's fuel pump. Wednesday afternoon they can install it.

Parts scarcity is a problem. Only 3 kits came in at the dealer, but luckily I had gotten on the waiting list early. I've been waiting several months.

I decided to have a pop-tart, had not tried them in years, didnot realize it was packed in foil, so had quite the sparky
show when I turned on the microwave!!!LOL...oh on the other
hand, I have 2 teflon coated skillets, and both of them show stuff bubbling up off the inside of skillet, at the bottom....I assume I should replace those, right/?;)

Lazy day today. I did so some financial stuff. I intend to do laundry in the middle of the night so I'll sort the clothes, which I prefer to do to natural light. It is also my intention to make Bisquick's impossible broccoli pie as well as try a new way to make my mango smoothie which I freeze to make mango sorbet. I'm going to try blending the frozen mangoes with plain yogurt, agave, Splenda and a little whipped cream. I usually make it without the yogurt.

Then there's the Same ole same ole or as some say "Same ol' sh*t" (SOS)....games on my devices, T.V., naps, unloading/loading & running dishwasher and phone conversations. Today my BFF and one of my cousins called. I hope y'all are having a nice weekend.
