On my early walk at 6:40, walked around the complex twice temp was in the low 70's. I figure I better get the walk in because rain/t. storms are in the forecast sometime this morning. I hope they aren't as intense as it was yesterday afternoon
I've invited a church friend, Callie for lunch today, I haven't seen her in about a yr. We used to attend our early church service at 8:15. I stopped going to that one Sadly,she has never come back to church when the pandempic ended,never met our terrific new senior pastor, Todd
She was thrilled when I called her last week for the invite, I can't wait to see her

A hot fudge sundae will make everything more better!

I was merrily clipping along with the SunJoe hedge clipper attachment when the darned thing died. It takes about six or seven hours to recharge. In six or seven hours it's gonna be much too hot to finish. Tomorrow is another day. Unless it rains. Well, it'll still be another day but not one to finish trimming the burning bush. Oh. And there are two burning bushes so when done with the first, there's still another one to go.

Yanno that saying about a mother's work never being done? A gardener's work is never done, either.

The sun has moved to places where I wanted to play in the dirt today so I guess I'm done and have to play in the kitchen "dirt" instead.

The usual American murder shows are getting boring. Watching Midsomer Murders instead. Chief Inspector Barnaby could put his shoes under my bed any old time. In this episode right now he and his wife are being ushered into the drawing room. What's a drawing room?

The promised rain is missing us again. As soon as it gets close, the radar shows it dividing and going around our area. We've done something to seriously tick off Mother Nature.

my understanding the term is short for ‘withdrawing’ room…. After supper, the ladies would leave the men to smoke and discuss whatever-men-discuss; they would withdraw to this room.

I really enjoy Midsommer Murders... except I have to have a little break in-between watching them because it stretches credibility that so many murders could take place in such a Twee Tiny Village... ..I have to say I did prefer John Nettles as DCI Barnaby... may he R.I.P

We had one nice day of rain last week. That's been it so far for July.

I brought grand girls back yesterday. We found a great indoor playground when grandson was here. So nice in the heat and during the week there's just a few grandparents and Moms with kids so they have the run of the place.The girls worked off their big breakfast.
We could sit and enjoy watching them make forts up inside the play places with big foam pieces they borrowed from the baby section. No babies there that day. Kids make friends almost instantly and it was funny how they paired off into "squadrons" and secured their forts with the foam blocks.
There's also a splash pad down the road from there so we stopped there. Then to Sweet Frog for a frozen yogurt treat.

Now it's 5:30 AM and I am enjoying the quiet with coffee before I get outside and work a bit before it heats up.

Going to son's. Godzilla Minus One Day with Pizza, Popcorn and possible Pool Party. Pool was closed yesterday due to power/hot weather concerns so that might not be open. Expecting a long, but happy day. Hope I'm not too tired, up at 2, due to scratching my arm which Gidget 🐈‍⬛ licked so hard I scratched it and bled, thus waking myself up. Then bathroom concerns. The middle of the night. Being old is crazy with all these physical complaints
 
Morning folks.....just up but awake for a bit, 65 deg will stay cooler today, only 85 they say, no rain they say, I say i hope my
\yard gets mowed today before the city guy with the ruler comes around....left hand still achy today, I think it is copying
the right hand now, durn it...not doing anything important today just living!!!!! CATCH U LATER!!!! ;)
 
At long last a warm sunny day. 73 deg... I've got the laundry in the machine...and because my dryer broke down I have to hang it out in the garden.. which means having to iron it afterwards which I don't do when using the dryer.

I thought my appointment for my steroid injections was this morning but I got the date wrong, it's not until tomorrow morning.

In a little while my lawyer will be calling with an update as to what we do next... 😕

If the radar doesn't lie, we'll get some rain in about another 30 minutes that'll last for about an hour. Can that really be? Just in case it happens, I'm not going to water anything yet and not going to play in the dirt, either.

Yesterday I started cutting back a burning bush shrub. There's another one to do, too, and I really should get out there and get it done, but I seem to have misplaced my motivation. I checked the closet and under the bed, but it's not there. If anybody sees it just wandering aimlessly, please send it home.

I haven't had breakfast yet but not motivated to do that, either. And then there's the lemon blueberry bread. The plan this time is to make two loaves and freeze one, if only my motivation would just show up!
 
Out the back with the new patio cleaner....man what a difference using that. Just got to have a wee break back and forward. The battery charger I got with the cleaner is goosed but thankfully I had since ordered a new charger and battery. Cut a long story short........I reported the fault to the company on Monday, told to fill in an e-mail form and someone would be in touch. They e-mailed me this morning looking for more info but the e-mail system they used was a 'No Reply' system...lololol. So I had to phone and thankfully I spoke to a guy who knew what he was doing...told me to bin the charger that isn't working and they would send a new one out to me...Hurrah!
