yes u knew me just lol,,,,probs, same as you have said, noisy folks liveing above,no garden, miserable tenants in other apartments, parking on road etc,,,im sure u will do whats right  (y)

@hollydolly, you have the ideal location there, so that’s great. Perhaps you could ask to go back to the apartment building in the evening when people are home so you can listen for noise. Some places are very well insulated. Some are fine on middle levels if they are on the end unit. If it’s a managed strata, ask to read the minutes of annual meetings. If there’re issues, they may show up in the notes.

welllll... I'm in my room with Covid. Blah. Don't feel quite as lousy as I did a couple days ago.

The worst of it is, it arrived just as my sister (lives other side of the country) was in the area with her husband for a conference and visited, so I missed that. Most of the kids and my grandgirls got to spend time with them.

Having a small pity-party =(

Good thinking Batgirl...(y) but still no to the middle... incidentally one good thing about this current ground floor flat is it is an end unit

damn Covid.... feel better soon CS..x

@hollydolly Ask the agent to find out who lives above that apartment. If it's a couple with kids, then nix!

We just had a gulley-washing rain roar through. It lasted about five minutes, dumped a crapton of rain, moved on. The sun is already out again.

I was hungry. I ate. It was delicious. Could have waited for DD and DGD, but heaven only knows how long they'll be.

Well I'm told that all the residents in this apartment block are friendly people. ( I hope that doesn't mean nosy).the parking isn't an issue because it has private underground parking... ...the first 2 of your issues are my main concern.. If I was younger I wouldn't have such concern, because Id just up and move again.. Goodness knows we moved enough times in my younger days... but this move has to be my last.. I just don't want or have the energy to go through more than one house move

HD, I've tried living in rabbit Warren apartments a few times - hated it. Even though they were upscale and claimed to be super soundproofed, I never felt at peace there. Somehow I was always conscious of having a multitude of people around me. Is living full time in your casa en España an option?

No not an option at all...it's going to be a casualty of the divorce.. very sadly....

Trying, @RadishRose I'm feeling a little better. My appetite is coming back slowly. Haven't slept the day away.

On a humorous note, in looking for a distraction, I tried watching the detective series, "Taggart" from the 80's... Not a big success. Voice recognition (for captions) is no match for thick Glaswegian accents! Ha, just comes out as nonsense. I could only get about 1/2 the dialogue just listening. Back to Vera!

You should have asked ME to translate for you..CS... born and raised in the Auld green city myself..:ROFLMAO:

It's a lovely day in the neighborhood again. Guess I'll get dressed and adjourn to the garden to weed and to think about a way to escape.

The crew got home around 930 last night and went straight to bed. DD texted and said she'd talk to me in the morning. I don't know if they gave her a diagnosis, but after blood work, MRI, ultrasound, CT and xrays one would think there'd be an idea at least. I asked if there was a bone scan. No.

DSIL had to go to the hospital to pick them up because DD was so pumped full of painkillers that she couldn't drive. They'll probably fetch her car today. Also, DGD has an in-person therapy appointment this morning. That won't happen because the appointment is too far away to consider Uber. One more reason why DGD needs to get over being too "nervous" to drive.

I swear this place revolves around what DGD wants/needs. DD's hip/knee/leg problem seems to rapidly getting worse. Maybe it's time for DGD's wants to take a backseat. Needs are a different story, but being able to drive would help there, too.

Yesterday's events left me exhausted, and I didn't even have to leave The Hovel.

@CinnamonSugar Are you feeling more like yourself today? @hawkdon How's "our" fox doing? @hollydolly Did the crew finish trimming and feeding their wood chipper yesterday?

The garden looks so bare this morning.. not that it doesn't look nice, but the trees cut down by Half.. the Cherry laurel alone has had 10 feet cut from it... and of course the branch stubs are not attractive but they'll grow quickly,

My neighbour was unhappy that I'd got so many of my trees cut, because some of them overhang her property and she loves to have them as a canopy...

Today I might rest...or I might try and repair the arm on the Leather love seat now I have all the necessary equipment

Gigi... this is all very stressful for you a a family.. I feel for you, but I absolutely agree about your GD having to step up to the plate and start driving.... ...Hope whatever results DD has had are not too serious....
Oh, no! Her "anxiety" won't let her. She wears her anxiety like a damn medal and likes to declare that she's mentally ill. She gets all over FB with memes and profound quotes and just general :poop:. Not everybody with anxiety or whatever else comes under the heading of emotional problems is mentally ill. Were that the case, we'd all be in the funny farm weaving baskets.
