OMG..I missed this. How do you think you got it *M* ?.. at the hospital ?.. I'm not joking..people often say they feel poorly if they've had to spend significant time at a hospital.

I hope you feel better soon.. because you've got no-one to look after you while your wife is in hospital...
yep hospital i think, useing the toilets there hardly anyone washes there hands,,i got plenty of food in,i should be ok,not sweating so much now,,iv had 8 jabs,so it shouldnt be two bad

I've had every Covid shot and booster and am now dealing with my third case of Covid. Sad to say, the vaccines only help your immune system respond to Covid, they don't prevent you from catching it. My bouts have never needed ER or hospital attention, but each has forced me to spend the better part of a week in bed.
Oh no. I thought your absence was because you were off on an RVing trip.

@hearlady I've thought about it, but the problem is getting there.

@hollydolly Teach it? LOL Most of what I've learned is by the seat-of-the-pants method. Imagine what a weedy, overgrown nightmare it was when I was still working.

@MarkD We're not exactly in the tropics here, but I keep trying to grow plants that thrive in Florida and have even had a little success with some that Monty Don says like the cool side of sea air in the UK. I've watched some of his shows, and he and the participants are all bundled up in July wandering around their gardens explaining how they keep their plants cool :)

I've got a little greenhouse that I've been meaning to put together for a couple of years now, but never have had the time. Maybe it'll get done this fall/winter. Then I'll have a place to overwinter some of the ones that are annuals here but perennials in Florida. Replacing them every year is pretty pricey!

LOL..I don't know about never regretting it...that's another story.......however as I said she's my little sister, and she's unwell, so I bit the bullet.

We've just had a 2 hour conversation by phone.... she has Terminal lung cancer.... but it's under control for now, so she's still able to pretty much get on with her life, altho' she's had to give up work...
@hollydolly

I'm sure your sister was happy to hear from you. Lung cancer .. that's a tough one - but then, all cancers are rough.

F*CK CANCER! It has taken too many, some of them, members of my family.

I'm sorry you've lost family to cancer, :(it's a horror. We lost several aunts and uncles, and my grandfather to cancer too...

My sister said hers was caught by chance... she had no symptoms, and she went for a routine check because it was free.. she thought at first it was a scam, but when she realised it wasn't she thought, as it wasn't gonna cost anything she might as well take advantage , so the day after the test when she got a call saying she had to contact her local hospital ASAP.. it came as a huge shock to her...

Most of the Master Gardeners are seniors. I wonder how they manage?

They drive 🚗!

After the course work, there's a requirement of 50 hours of volunteer work...getting back and forth would be a problem. Not insurmountable but inconvenient.
Well, you certainly are a Master. I'm glad you shared your garden and I know you'd be a real asset to others if you could swing it somehow. Your DD and DGD are lucky.
