❤️Son❤️Grandson❤️
Coming today to rescue me from life of loneliness. Seems I only feel truly alive and happy when I am with them. That's why I have no regrets. Every mistake I made eventually leads to ❤️THEM❤️. For a few hours, I will have bliss.

Thought I posted. Hm. Guess I thought wrong!

@Pepper Most of us Singletons get lonely. Dwelling on it doesn't make it better.

It's not as cold this morning as yesterday but not exactly warm, either. "They" are telling us that today will be "warmer" than yesterday. Ok by me!

The other braided rug and other half of the tile grout will get done today (she said).

DD decided she doesn't want Dessert for Dinner on Sundays anymore because... I dunno. So we're back to Dessert for Dinner on Saturday. Today is Saturday. Blueberry cobbler. I'm going to cheat and use canned blueberry pie filling. Shhh! Don't rat🐀 me out!

Okay. Time for getting morning stuff outta the way so I can address the rug and the grout >GG👵 leaves the room🚶‍♀️<

Thursday night there was a lot of noise in the hall. I thought, "Is the elevator broken?" It wasn't. Yesterday, Friday, it stopped working. I think that's weird. Anyway, till it is fix I am Marooned.
what floor do you live on ?.. will your son and gradson walk up the stairs ?

The winds have died down slightly... but it's still raining...

Lots of strctural damage around the country...one person has bee killed when a tree fell on their car...

14°C = 57°F That's plenty chilly.
yes ...I meant C.... today...it's even colder despite the rain, but due to the freezing winds ... at 46 deg F...outside... ( 7 celcius)... indoors right now with no heating on it's 15 deg C ... I've got a pair of legging on and a pair of joggers over them... Shetland wool socks on... and 3 layers on top including a fleece lined sweater.. so I can hold on longer before having to put the heating on...

Sorry - should have indicated I gathered you meant both C and your indoor temps. 57°F outdoors feels brisk but would chill-to-the-bones indoors. Not sure why, but that's how it seems to go for most people.

Let's see. Yesterday was Costco Business Center and cookie baking. Today, TGS comes over and will presumably spend the night. His baby brother got whatever the germy thing was that TGS had last week. Surprisingly, nobody else has gotten sick.

Perhaps it's one of those viruses that people get once and the immune system remembers for the duration. Could be that we all had it long ago.

There's a town parade today, weather should be nice for it. At not quite 3 years old yet, I don't think TGS is quite ready for it though. Perhaps next year.

I'll see if TGS is up for helping with cookies. If not, DH will play with him when I'm in Keeble Elf mode.

As has long been our pattern, DH decorates inside while I bake. I love when the house is all dolled up for Christmas and he loves a dining room table filled with platters of cookies and the house smelling like a bakery! Domestic harmony is wonderful.

Just a few more minutes here, then it's back to the kitchen!

Happy Saturday gang!!!! I am at 38Deg F this morning, no rain
or that other stuff for today....slept okay but lots of dreaming....
Some rather crazy, but hey that fits....all laundry finised but
the old sheets that were taken off the bed yesterday by the
housekeeper....she will be taking me to doc next wed, the doc
himself actually called me about my eye issue!!! Lots of aches
today, this damn weather. ah well....we get these eggs at the
store that have "E.B." printed on them, but they don't break easy, wonder why??? Oh and I have complaint....my Depends
do not have the colorful cartoons printed on them and only come in gray, who should I call about that?????:love::ROFLMAO::devilish:

@hollydolly I hope you're wearing a cap or hat or a tam on your pointy little head. It'll make you feel a whole lot warmer because body heat escapes through the top of your head. But you knew that, right?

@hawkdon Those EB eggs are Eggland's Best. I dunno why they're hard to break. I dunno what to tell you about Depends. Men's should have Superman characters. And women's should have Superman characters;)

Both rugs are repaired and all the grout has been cleaned. Yay me. I'm done.

Will those who live in the areas of the storm please check in?

well I live in the area of the storm...I can hear everything getting blown long the road right now as the wind has gained traction again and is really, really strong... Can't see much because it's dark now.. fortunately we're up high so the floods are not a problem but the wind definitely is...

yes thank you..I have always known about hats keeping the body warm..I've been someone who has promoted this for many years.

When my child was small and we only had single glazing in this house and no central heating , and there would be ice on the window when we woke...in winter I always had her wear a hat to bed along with her pyjamas an socks..

Today I own probably 15 hats.. at least 8 or 9 are beanie style hats... (y)🤗

Well, the mistakes I made on so many levels----if I had gone in other directions, done more "right" things-----I wouldn't have met my husband. I don't regret my husband, but did lead a not average life. If I had done what was expected of me, the road would have gone differently. So, I'm glad I F'ed up.
That's so deep. Also, reminded me of the poem...

The Road Not Taken

By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

OMG ..I just opened the blinds here in my little office room, which are just 3 feet from where I'm sitting...to see if I could see if there's any damage because there' a lot of noise of things crashing around out on the road..it's pitch dark... but when I opened the blinds the windows are so soaked with the heavy rain, that's impossible to see anything... but the winds are howling like crazy....

Snow has stopped,, the wind hasn't.
Taking Mac out for walk before dark,
We both are looking at icy metal ???
In front of garage doors. ??

Eve spouts pulled off roof edge,by the weight of the snow.
Get hubby to look at the mess.

Neither of us can move it, full length of garage,, full of ice.

Finally hubby gets the big backhoe out.
Hook a chain to the eve & drag it away from garage.

He tried to plow some snow away from garage but backhoe wants to slip & slide.

What a way to spend our wedding anniversary!
