How Is Your Pet's Happiness?
100% happy and healthy. May look like I'm spoiling them but no. I'm all about staying clear of Vet visits.
Took me awhile to narrow down just what they needed...done. No rice...posted that once before but...no.
No Vet Visits: except rabies and bordetella shots (no flea/heartworm because they had a bad reaction to shots (seizure) and there aren't any mosquitoes or ticks near ocean breeze).
Fleas: Occasionally they'll pick up a flea or two from other dogs but I'm watching and take a q-tip dipped in diluted dawn and just touch the flea with it...boom DOA. I also bathe them regularly, but if I see flea dirt they get a 1 minute dip in highly diluted dawn...very watery...rinse thoroughly, then doggy Oat shampoo (no-tears facial soap I get at Trader Joe's). Again, rinse thoroughly.
Dental chews: from Costco (they won't touch other brands). They're obsessed with them.
They hoard and hide them in covers and edges of dog beds all day sometimes fake-growling to tease each other for fun.
Food: Quinoa, fresh frozen Spinach cooked and blended in blender with some low sodium beef broth (then freeze half of it for later).
Then I add 80%/20% Ground Beef (cooked in frying pan with just enough water to keep it from sticking...not overcooked, includes juice) and/or fresh baked Chicken, and/or some of my salmon shared...on rare occasions a tiny amount of low-sodium canned tuna in water.
and I often add baked sweet potato smooshed up in the quinoa/spinach mixture.
Exercise...lots of walks.
Sometimes on the beach, sometimes Ocean Dr.
One dog requires toy-frisbee time.
I swear I take better care of them than myself at times. I literally could eat their food if I wanted to.
