How limber annd flexible are you?

I’ve been challenging myself to replicate some moves of folks I’m following on Instagram, to maintain and increase my overall flexibility. I’m not doing too bad so far!

Gonna continue to update this thread as I find more ways to challenge myself.

First, squatting. The ideal way for maximum flexibility is to squat all the way down, keeping your heels in the floor. I did it!! I can’t maintain the position for long without losing my balance, but practice makes perfect!! IMG_2360.jpeg

Ok @Knight here’s another one. Hip flexion and mobility.

I can’t post the whole video here but I captured the key pose, and I also tried it myself. My form isn’t as good as the dude in the photo but I’m a hell of a lot older so I cut myself some slack 😂

I have to head in to work now but I’ll check out some more and post them here if you’re interested @Knight

I'll try that later, were going out today. I did 10 of those squats and that was enough. Also tried jumping jacks with very little success. Absolutely don't like trunk rolls. I'll check tomorrow to see if you have found any more.

I have no problem with trunk rolls. Or jumping jacks. But jumping jacks don’t do much for flexibility and overall tone. They’re more a cardio thing.

To be clear I don’t like jumping jacks 😂 I just have no physical problem doing them.

I'm still pretty limber. My cousin was helping me remove some things from the attic and said to me, "You're as limber as a cat." I can place my palms flat on the floor and still get my legs up over my head. 🙃 Not that I have a reason to do that anymore! :ROFLMAO:

Ronni, you go girl! ;)

Oddly enough I find that first stretch really comfortable and sit like that often. My husband can’t figure out how it’s possibly comfortable for me but it is.

Due to the fact that I have back problems, I have to stretch and keep myself limber. If I don’t stretch often, my entire body seizes up and aches.

I can bend and put my hands flat on the floor with straight legs so consider myself very flexible.

I'm very agile, (do to dance training when I was young)
or as my kids say, "Wow Mom, You're really SPRY!" hahaha!

One good thing to do is to sit on the floor and get up without using your hands.

That’s excellent! i can get all my fingers flat to the floor just not my palms!

I think a lot of it has to do with having an extra long torso and shorter than average legs. My husband and I are the exact same height but his legs are 2 inches longer than mine.
