1964 for motorcycle, 1966 for car.
The MG TD was the car that I so liked, my good lady wasn't adverse to my buying an old classic but did say that an open top car and airborne pollen are not good for her asthma. The garage proprietor of the garage who looks after our modern day VW, told me about the MG Y-Type, a car that shares about 85% DNA with the TD, a perfect compromise.I958. I was working and had the opportunity to buy a cool car before I actually had a license so I hurried up and got one. 1952 MG TD

67 years, and although I gave up driving a few years ago, I still use it for I/D purposes.
