How long is your oldest friendship?

this is a lovely thread [and I have just purchased a new chinese keyboard so testing it out?] so far so good - I'm a touch typist by long standing training [self] associated with studies - when I read this thread my mind immediately reverts to Hepburn and Tracy - one of the loveliest love stories in my compendium - and I never fail to miss " guess who's coming to dinner [ Spencers last film] I do have a long standing friend who I could have easily married but it didn't happen but I was speaking to her today and we will catch up in a few months on one of their caravan travels - we go back to 1962 UK time!

I had three close friends but over the last five years they have all died so now I don’t have any friends. I live quite remotely so don’t meet many people. My animals are my closest friends.

My lovely SO and I started first grade together in 1952. Later went to high school together, and have been a couple for the past 7 years.

So, I'm gonna claim 73 years.
