How lovely is this?

Warrigal

SF VIP
This is a rainbow Lorikeet feeding on gum blossom.
These birds occasionally visit my garden to feed on a grevillea bush.
They are a visual delight.

Gorgeous birds Warrigal. Rainee has sent me pictures of them before.

I'd LOVE to visit Australia one day.....if I convince myself that the airplane flight doesn't take THAT long.

Maybe a freighter with a few passenger spots would do it. A good adventure. Think I'll look into it.

Very lovely to be sure Warrigal! Bird and blossom...beautiful!

Beautiful. Not sure if these are the birds we saw we when stayed at Wilson's Prom, but they were very colourful. We disobeyed the sign that said not to feed them and bought bird nuts at the shop.

They look lovely but after they feed on those red grevilliea they poop over your handrails, decks, washing, outdoor furniture etc

I speak from experience as my previous home was visited by them daily for months at a time.

Yes they are rosellas. I think there are more rosellas in the mountain areas.
They are less raucous than the lorikeets. The lorikeets are loud and shrill.
