How many close friends do you have?

I have quite a few friends but they're not 'close'' ... however my seperation and current divorce proceedings have shown me some of my ''friends' true colours...
of those I would say there's really only 2 of which I could reply on completely if I needed them

If the question of "close" is physical, I would say 5 or 6. If "close" means emotionally I would say 100's. I treat everyone as a friend and unless they don't want to be, that is what they are. In Greek there are 3 words for love, "eros", "phileo", "agape". Phileo is the love you have for your fellow human being.
 
No close friends or family anymore. I guess the two guys who live here are friends. We will plan Thanksgiving together.
There are two women I go to breakfast with when we can make it. There was a third who died last year and we are trying to keep it going.
One neighbor who was a friend before she got dementia and now only clings to her husband. One old friend in another state and a distant niece who texts weekly.
Some of my late husband's family check in on me. I do miss having someone I can just hang with.

I'm kinda dreading being in my 80's and 90's if the Good Lord spares me. I've already had several friends and family die... and it'll get worse as in your situation Babs... how hard that must be...:(
 
Close friends? M hubby and a divorced 70+ year-old woman in Seattle who used to work for me. She knows more secrets about me than my hubby does.🫢 She has come to visit us in Dallas and we've visited her in Seattle. We chat every few weeks.

I have other friends that I can call or reach out to via Facebook but I wouldn't consider them close.

Cops depend on these scumbags to talk about their crimes. It's a form of bragging to them. Some Investigators will have their own street snitch and if that snitch gives the Investigator some good information that leads to an arrest and conviction, it's likely the snitch will receive a stipend.
 
I'm very close to BF and consider him a friend as well as a lover. I am very friendly with most family members. I have a lots of friends in the world but consider them casual friends. Of the very close friend types I have one BFF. That's all, whom I really trust.
