How many here are greatgrandparents?

Congrats....We have 13 Grandchildren, and are looking forward to when that day will come!! My MIL is 94 and that makes her a GGM of 13!!

I have 3 great-grands ... an 8 yr. old girl and 3 yr. old twin girls.

I must admit I'm not running around to department stores buying them out of "cute" clothes ...
did that for the granddaughters 'til my youngest daughter would literally pull me out of the kids' department!

Yeah,no,I won`t be either lol. This "great" will be from our oldest grandson (he`s all of 22) and they can well afford to buy their own cute clothes. Besides, that`s "Grandma`s (my daughter) job anyway ;) Plus we just had our last granddaughter 7 months ago so I`m all shopped out!

How old is your grandson? Ours was very young when he married-had just turned 21. His bride is 3 years older. He has always been very mature for his age so it wasn`t too surprising that he married early. But then we were 17 & 19 and his parents were both 19-in fact, now that I think about it,none of his grandparents or greatgrandparents were older than 19. I guess he was the "old man" of the group lol.

Now he just needs to get them moved out of his inlaws house. He was working out of state and is now back in state but still works about 6 hours away. So she moved back in with her parents because she felt that paying rent in two places was a waste of money. So he has been home for three weeks while his company moves to a new job site and he`s ready to tear his hair out! FIL is a great guy-he was grandson`s high school football coach and grandson was his star player, that`s why he set him up with his daughter. BUT his MIL is a nutcase, for lack of a better term. One of those 'You would have to see it to believe it" kind of people. So every morning by 8:30 he`s ready to tear his hair out lol. In fact this morning she osted on Facebook "I don`t care what anybody thinks of me,I`m just gonna keep doing what I`m doing." I was so afraid he might have blown a gasket and told her off LOL!

No GGC have granddaughters 22 and 20, and 9 one getting married soon ( remember I didn't get an invite)

That`s right,Kadee :( All I can say is,we were probably lucky to be invited to grandson`s wedding-given that nutcase MIL demanded that the guest list on our side be cut to the bone-in spite of the fact that the wedding was entirely paid for by my grandson and HIS parents.....(told ya she was koo-koo)

My grandson is 18 but he's been going out with this same girl for nearly three years so I don't really know what to expect.

Oh yeah, three years is a pretty long time....anything could happen. I can see why you warned him. Of course,we never listened to the warnings 47 years ago....;)

Yes you don't really know who your kids/ grandkids are getting involved with, I don't know anything about the family she is marring into so who knows why she decided to exclude us but I have gotten over it and the money I would have given her for a present which would be $1000 I can now spend on myself
