How many people here don't own a smartphone?

I have an old, cheap, smartphone but have never used it for such. I only carry a phone (unlike most of the world) when traveling in the U.S. in case of emergency. I refuse to be continually connected via phone and our family mostly communicates by email.
However, we travel a fair amount including overseas and must have a tablet.

I have an Alcatel smart flip. It can run KaiOs apps like games and things. But, no touch screen, just keys. It has Google assist and voice recognition so I don't have to type anything, like for texting. The only app I use much is the timer, which is handy when cooking something. It's small, rugged and works great as a phone.

It has a built in FM radio and a music player that I don't use. The camera is just 2 megapixels, but I don't take photos with it anyway. I don't use the browser. It does what I need and only cost me 60 bucks. And, I still have my wife's as a spare.

i got a dumb flip-fone....

My son had one when he was 12. His friend in school just got a new phone for 1000 euro and showed it to everyone. The newest thing. My son got a flip phone for seniors for 20 or 30 euro. He said to his friend: Hey but I have a real Denver and mine can flip and has a radio!

I have an iPhone 13 color green appropriate for saint patties day today. My wish is that for those who own a smartphone is to be more responsible with them, I see a lot of people driving while us there phone. Dangerous!

Interesting that you can tell what type of phone someone is using while they drive by. My iPhone connects to my car's sound systems so using it is hands free.

I likened changing from a Blackberry, which used to be all the rage, to an iPhone was like going from grammar school to college. My first and only iPhone was an iPhone 4. When that started dying, I got an Android phone free for switching to MetroPCS. Its camera was terrible though, so my husband gave me a Samsung phone for my birthday. That was over a decade ago and I've stayed with Samsung, which I like just as much as the iPhone.

I use my smartphone for so many things that I can't imagine being without it. A few uses: ordering Uber and Lyft rides, playing several games, calendar and timer alerts, calculator and other financial stuff, notepad (from which I text my son shopping lists), texting and other communication apps and camera. Using the Shazam app, I can even find out what song is playing when I'm out and about or watching a TV show and hear something I like. I've done that several times with songs I liked enough to purchase.

I'm not one...I love my Iphone.. I've had 5 different models over the years... upgrade every few years.... my current one is a 12 Pro so I'm overdue for a new one..

Same Holly. I recently upgraded from the 12 Pro to the 15 Pro Max. I purposely don’t buy the latest….i save a few hundred when I buy a model or two before the latest release.

I am seldom without my phone because I pretty much run both my personal and professional life from/with it.
