Thanks Holly. I read your post about you almost cancelling your surgery, I did that once already with my hernia surgery. Not that I'm worried about the surgery itself but post surgery pain and recovery is just such a freaking inconvenience, and it's all more complicated when you live alone.

But sometimes we must do what we don't like, right?

exactly, C50... this is what I'm concerned abut too..the post surgery pain, and living alone. I've tried to make everything easier for myself when I'm discharged.. daughter is coming to get me from the hopsital, but she can't stay, she lives 2 hours away, and works full time.. so I've made sure all the laundry is done, the bed has been changed, the food that I use most often is at shoulder height so I don't have to bend, that I have medications that I need regularly stocked up, the freezers are full... Loose clothing is easily accessible .. .. and so on.. it's all I can do...

This time tomorrow I'll be coming out of surgery...:(

Praying for you @hollydolly that your surgery will go well, your pain will be minimal and your recovery will be free of complications. Sending warm hugs and healing energy to you. xo
 
Just a few small ones, but I just had an endoscopy for throat cancer last week. It also left scarring and pain in my mouth. However that's probably nothing for lies ahead next week.
 
Depends on what you want to consider surgery. Put out under anesthesia? Twilight like a colonoscopy? Tooth removed under gas? Cut open for any reason? Had teeth pulled several times with just Novocain, 2 different times a local at the Dr office to cut out stuff, cyst on my hand and a splinter in my finger. Colonoscopy X2. But then came a bad Wednesday, woke up Saturday and already had 5 surgeries, 6 more after, and will need a hip replacement at some point.
